I'm not sure about Internet access, but according to "The Unofficial Guide to WDW 2006", the resort front desk will be able to check you in online, using your reservation number, and print you a boarding pass.

Hope this helps!! And have fun. I'll be there in August too!!:king:

That's what Magical Express is all about, they can check you in for your flight and print you a boarding pass. We've used them our last 2 trips and the service worked great.

Actually, that's not DME Resort Check-in, which would only accept same-day check-in [which might be an option for mitchjs as well]. But you can also check-in on-line and print a boarding pass with a number of airlines [obviously including Southwest]. The front desk at any resort will do the check-in on-line for you and print your boarding pass on the spot.

Lots of different options, but I think mitchjs wants to get seats together on a flight that assigns seats at check-in, so check-in the night before would improve his seating options.

It would not be an option because Southwest does not participate in DME's official Airline Check-In. The cast members at Pop Century's Front Desk or Lobby Concierge will be able to print the passes for you, as long as you have your confirmation number.

Also, Southwest doesn't assign seats, just boarding letters of priority.

For others reference, Pop Century does not have any computers for guest use. If you need to access the internet during your stay and do not have a laptop, you'll need to visit a Business Center at one of the convention resorts. Convention resorts include Coronado Springs, Contemporary, Boardwalk, Grand Floridian, and Yacht & Beach Club Resorts.

Pop Century doesn't have any computers for guest use. You'd have to bring a laptop and in your room use dial-up.

I thought that regardless if you used DME for baggage check-in you still could use the airline check-in feature. Please correct me if I'm wrong. We too are flying Southwest this trip and thought we could at least get our boarding passes before leaving the resort and check our luggage in at the airport.

We went in September and February. Rented a car and did not use DME. On day of checkout we were able to use the airline check in. They even offered to transfer our luggage to the airport for us. Maybe we lucked out because it wasn't peak season.
