Boston.com and startthereboston.com report that fanuil hall also known as quincy market draw more visitors per year than disney world. for those who dont know quincy market its part of the freedom trail and is fuill of food stores and some side shopping. I just can't get myself to believe that this is true. I mean Magic Kingdom alone gets 17 million visitors a yearl. Someone please explain this to me

Makes sense to me. I go to Boston once a year and manage to swing through there each time, whether I eat there or not. It is always wall to wall people, and I can only imagine how it is during the week.

Visitors to Quincy market can mean people strolling through - it's not like there's a ticket price attached to your daily coffee. :)

I've definitely heard that before, and it's not surprising. The Hall itself and Quincy Market are two separate buildings, but the entire area is now known as the Fanueil Hall Marketplace I believe.

Actually, I was in Boston for the first time ever this past April and the second we got there, we went straight there to eat and poke around.

*On a side note, there was a banjo player there that kept singing a song with one word. I wish I can remember the word, but it was definitely different!

What sort of square footage does this place have - I have no idea about this place in Boston but if it beats Disney in terms of visitors per year then it must be huge

It's just your basic urban festival marketplace set up in a series of old buildings in downtown Boston. It costs nothing to walk into the place.

Any big shopping mall in America gets tens of millions of visitors per year. South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, a big shopping mall about 20 minutes south of Disneyland, gets an average of 24 Million visitors per year. It costs nothing to enter the mall. http://www.southcoastplaza.com

Disneyland gets 15 Million visitors per year. It costs 66 dollars to enter the park.

Faneuil Hall in Boston is old, and a fun place to visit, but it's not unique when it comes to annual visitors. Why would that figure even be news on a Disney board?

Have you ever been to faneuil hall it is nothing like a mall. It basically has a large building for food and some shopping on the side. It probably has 1/8 the amount of shops as the average mall. it is free though to walk in i understand ,but its really nothing special. It still just doesnt seem reasonasble to me as its always dead when im their haha.
