Cut-throat company huh?

That's the quote that caught my eye too. I really wish people who make blanket statements like that would back them up with some facts or examples. What, exactly, has Disney Corp done that she considers cut-throat?

As far as comparing Michael & Mickey goes, there's no Mickey mug shot. Plus, if I had kids, I'd take them to WDW without hesitation. I wouldn't take them anywhere near Neverland.

Stoopid article.

Also guilty. Little PhD will have been to WDW 4 times before she turns 3. She dreams about disney and every imaginary play trip is to "DISNEY WORLD". However, comparing her to other kids her age, I wouldn't call her a voracious consumer.

As far as that goes, at least Play House Disney channel only has comericals for its self, not toys as Nick Jr does. I hate her wacthing Dora and all the Care Bear and other toy comericals. She then wants those toys and doesn't even know who or what they are.

So yes, she likes the things I do; Princess, Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse. Do I encourag it and buy her more toys then she needs? Yes. Do I also encourage her to be a happy, healthy, kind hearted and caring person? Yes. I don't blame Disney for any of this.

Kids need stories and roll models. For the most part I feel good about the ones Disney provides. If it wasn't Disney there would be more from other places, possibly not as good.
