Insert Pixie Dust into Pipe... Light : A Pre Trip Disney Report

Ok... tonight, just happened. No elaborations or exaggerations. I had to travel for work and ended up stopping at the Foxwoods Casino with my FIL. No winners tonight, but I had a vivid dream that included my reaction of our AP ending in July. I woke up all ed.

Tonight, my wife and I made a nice dinner at home and threw on Pinocchio. While watching my wife just looked at me and said, "agh, crap... I really just want to go back". The funny part of all of this is that I was the one who really wanted to go, she resisted and made it clear we needed to wait until all FL was completed.

Well, 10 minutes later... two flights booked, and reservations made at the POP and we're headed to Disney for the third time in less than 12 months.

High on the Pixie Dust!

We may nix the San Angel Inn (a personal favorite) for the Chefs de France.

I posted my ADR's to show that the 180 day mark is valid, but it's often one of those things that is more feared based on reputation than reality. Sure, I'm only a party of two so it'll probably be harder for a family of four but considering I booked 9 days out I was impressed with what I got.

Yeah, the 180 day mark can be a hit or miss thing. Obviously the big boys book up quick (Le Cellier, Ohana, Crystal Palace pre-park..) but you can get others pretty close to the actual date. I was looking yesterday to change an ADR at Epcot on Sept 7 which is 87 days away and there is still tons of stuff open. Even at Garden Grill, which is what I was trying to change but they didn't have the times we needed. 9 days out you did get a pretty solid line up! Nice work!

Yeah for sure... but sometimes those juggernauts can fall. I waited for Le Cellier and was just not that impressed. A great experience but compared to what I consider a piece of steak it just didn't live up.

It all depends on your personal experience and interests.

I'm looking forward to the Garden Grill, first time for us.

Small change to the planned ADR's ... swapping out San Angel Inn for Chefs De France. This allows us to keep this a 100% new experience dining trip.

A little sad, I have San Angel in my "positive" camp despite it receiving numerous bad reviews. Oh well!

I'm also REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLY pumped to take the behind the trains tour. If you hated it, please don't comment here and ruin my heightened and amped brain.
