My daughter and granddaughter are at Magic Kingdom right now - Sunday @ 2:20 - and just went for the day (they live in FL). The crowds are nuts. Ride wait times are at least an hour or more everywhere. Food - forget it, she had one person in line ahead of her at 1:00 pm and it took 25 minutes to get her food! Ah, all the northern schools are on vacation - the great winter migration! Why didn't Disney leave Toon Town open until after this week? That would have alleviated some of the crowds, seeing that a bunch of other stuff is closed due to the Fantasyland expansion.

Was thinking about going to the parks this afternoon just to relax a little, but it sounds as though it is not going to be relaxing. Thanks for the info because now I will you my Sunday afternoon to do something else.

Yup - winter break. Everyone I know that's a teacher is off somewhere on vacation - I guess a lot of them are down there!!

I went to the parks yesterday, and not only was it quite crowded, the crowds were some of the rowdiest and rudest I have ever seen. I had a hard time hearing any ride I rode because everyone talked and yelled the entire time.

That's unfortunate. I can handle a lot of people but when it's crowds that are completely disrepectful of others around them I find it unbearable.

Wow, you guys ain't kidding. I just checked my Wait Times app on my Phone, and it's like 80 mins for all the major attractions in MK.

Hot Damn, so glad I am not there this week.

That was the other thing my daughter said - besides being very crowded the guests were very loud and rude.

It's a little early for the schools in the north to have break yet. That's between March and April depending on the school. But it has been a horrible winter and people up here are going stir crazy. They probably see President's Day Weekend as an opportunity.

I came back Thursday the 17th from a trip there and it was more crowded than I expected. But a lot of the people we talked to when waiting in line were from places like New York, Michigan, etc and all there for the same reason. Last minute planned trips just to get a break. But they were not rude, they were all friendly and happy. They were also all getting the heck out of Dodge before Friday and the long weekend. When we left Port Orleans, people were just swarming in at arrivals. I haven't even seen crowds like that during actual spring break.

I find that a lot of rude people at the parks are those who didn't do much research on exactly what they were getting themselves into before hand and the rudeness is a product of being overwhelmed when it turns out not to be like Six Flags or Sesame Place.

It is February break up here in northeast. All of the schools here in Mass have this upcoming week off from school. President's Day I am sure brought some crowds in, and possibly even the Daytona 500. Even though the race was today, I could see where some families would split - some members go to the big race while the rest of them spend the day at WDW.

darn, the schools up north have winter break this week? I was hoping to have less crowded parks this coming weekend ( the 26th) anyone think they will still be as crowded?

People here and farther north have serious cabin fever, snow storm after ice storm after snow storm since early December has left most feeling really crazy. Everyone I know is ready to bust and get the heck out of town! Bottom line, you could have a lot of people on vacation with you. However, President week is always crowded no matter what the weather has been up north. I think it is more crowded this year because people who live here and farther north are up to their eyeballs in snow and sick of it.

BTW, some schools in Massachusetts and NH have next week off instead, so it will probably stay busy for a while.

I have been spending my winter driving thru the snow, working around the snowbanks and shoveling the driveway. I am happy to be in the comfort of the back porch at the condo. I cant wait to see the parks and I already am having nightmares of coming home and having to fight thru the un shoveled snow to bring my luggage into my house after a long drive then having to shovel hard snow that has been sitting all week.

The Magic Kingdom is always busy. I have not been once in the past 4 or 5 years when it wasn't. The other parks are a bit different. But of course, like others have stated, it is President's Day weekend, so for many that meant a three day weekend, which means busier than normal.
