Innoventions West

I just wanted to see if anyone has heard anything regarding Innoventions West. It has been closed for a very long time now. I am amazed that they now have so many spaces closed at Epcot. I figured at least Innoventions West would have something in there pretty quickly.

Part of the problem is technology changes every year, so for them to keep up would be pretty tough. However, if they made contracts with companies like Sony, Apple, Microsoft, Nikon, etc, then they could have those companies basically have big interactive sections showing current technology, future/prototype tech, and even old tech to show the evolution. As long as it is interactive, people will probably have an interest in it, after all, people go crazy when a new iphone with a slightly better processor is announced every year.

Besides the Baymax & Inside Out M&G It's pretty much walls and tarp coverings...Except the Chase M&G Is still in the back with the wall of Video Games....

It was an embarrassment to walk through last fall. The fact it's still like this is just sad.

But Food n Wine and Flower and Garden are longer this year right? That'll make up for it.

It is home to Visa meet and greet, Baymax, and soon Inside Out characters. So I would expect it to continue to become an extension of Character Spot.

At this point they should just make it worldly exhibits like millennium village or cram a bunch of science exhibits in there, maybe cram wonders of life into one of the buildings. Project tomorrow is pretty much the new futuristic hub now. They can really use and capitalize off of almost anything in Future World except for Horizons and Innoventions. The cushions for the rest of the pavilions have allot of life, they just don't want to invest in them.

I understand the "Futureworld" name. But honestly an educational exhibit on today's technologies would be very interesting. Machines used in modern day factories are amazing enough. Just Youtube "High speed tool changer" that's just an example. Epcot could have something that shows the general public the amazing things we have now that most people are unaware of.

All of Epcot is boring now which is why I skip that park. If not drinking or going to a restaurant, the WS is just a snoozer. Illuminations does nothing for me either. I understand people like different things so this is just one opinion.

Epcot is more nostalgia for us. We ride LwtL, MS, TT & Soarin' (single rider or FP only- we won't wait in line for either) and Nemo to rest our feet, but don't really find any of it very interesting or fun- just a pleasant place to pass a morning. Spaceship Earth is our favorite, with Club Cool, and we do look forward to those two. We ducked into Innovations last Fall for the first time in a couple of years- and walked right back out. Sad.
