Innoventions Improvements

WondersOfLife

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
I liked Colortopia though, I may be alone in that. I thought it was super cute and fun. I loved the use of LED's. Anyone know why they closed Vision house or Habit Hero's? Habit hero's was only a year or two old.

I have a hard time figuring out why they close Habit Heroes as well... Probably a mixture of unpopularity and a sponsorship drop... But I went with my sister to this thing a couple of years ago... And we were the only people in Innoventions except for this one little kid. Habit Heroes was actually a lot of fun!

I think Innoventions' problem is that nobody really knows what is inside the building and they don't really care to find out. It's not like it's mentioned on travel videos or anything all that much... When they really should mention some of the things in there like StormStruck and SUM of All Thrills. Heck, they should list them with numbers on the park map as actual "attractions." I mean, if they can call a statue head courtyard in HS an attraction, then these should be considered stand alone attractions as well.

God forbid they put education back into Epcot! If they need to make it fun then bring in stuff that kids can relate to, social media technology or gaming. Plus, use their current trend of movie overlays by using related movies like Meet the Robinsons or Tomorrowland. Both of those movies were all about the idea that one person can significantly impact the outcomes of the future, they are about opening ones mind up to the "possibilities". The idea that one person can make a difference. Hell, WED is a perfect case for one man changing the way we experience entertainment. I have always said that Epcot should be about learning but done in a way that people do not know they are learning. Epcot Center did this, but the heavy use of Omnimovers wasn't quite fun enough. Now Epcot appears to only be about having fun. Learning is a distant priority thanks to Eisner and now Iger. This park has the most "possibilities" for being about fun and educational, they just need to lay down a billion or two to make that happen. But, corporate greed won't get this park to where it needs to be!

The first time I went to WDW when I was 16, largely because of Communicore, Epcot was my favourite park. I didn't return to Epcot until last month, 26 years later, and I didn't even attempt to enter Innoventions, as I knew what it had become. I have to admit, I felt a bit heavy-hearted as I walked past, but I wanted my best memory of being inside those buildings to be my only memory. This might be the same kind of reason why alot of people don't know of the existence of Sum Of All Thrills.

Maybe they should just get some natural light back into the pavillion.

It almost seems non existent to me now.:( I've never ridden Sum of all Thrills!
Me too. We used to go into Inoventions and completely lose track of time. We would finally have to make ourselves leave because we were in there so long we wasted a lot of park time. Now we just walk right on by. We have done Sum of all Thrills and it's awesome but it isn't a must do anymore. It is heartbreaking to see Epcot practically in ruins.
