Innoventions Fiber Optics

I was wondering if they still happen to have the fiber optic floors over by Innoventions West?

The last time I was there they had the smaller squares still doing the sparkling effect but haven't seen the huge ones that did the different patters working. Were they removed?

I don't ever remember seeing these but I really wish I had! They look amazing! Why isn't every sidewalk in Disney like that? It's so pretty! :sohappy:

Maybe they were only there for a limited engagement? A special event? Not sure, but I don't think I ever saw them. :shrug:

I think it was in 94 when Innoventions plaza came to be..But, last I checked I haven't seen them on.

I remember these from when I was a kid but haven't seen them in a long time--as far as I know, all that's left are the squares near Innoventions West.

They were still working last time I visited, but that was back in June so who knows now.

A lot of the neon and fiber-optics in that area have been removed. I can remember when I was younger there were strip of neon that outlined the planters near what is now the Art of Disney.

Yes. Most are still there though some are in fact now gone. They have some that light up like stars in the night sky and others that make patterns. I'm always surprised by how many people do not even know these are there.

One question I have about them though is do these only light up when we walk across them or are they constantly flashing all night?

They are constantly going, they just have a douser in front the light to make it go on or off or chase.
