I just got off the phone with Disney reservations and here is some info they just gave me. (Called at 9:30 pm eastern time 10/2/09)

There is a group of cheerleaders that arrive 12/2 until 12/9 2009 that are staying at the Pop Century resort.

The night of December 3 can only be booked at Deluxe or Deluxe Villas resorts only. No rooms for that night at any value or moderate resorts.

If you are trying to get into POP I did have a 11/28 to 12/3 vacation on hold and cancelled it.

The girl said she may be able to get a 11/28 - 12/4 which includes the Dec. 3 night at All Stars Sports. The web sight had some other All Stars but the lady said none right now.

Hope this will help someone out who is thinking about going.

I saw info on an other web site stating 11 groups for Pop Warner were reserving rooms at Pop Century for the tournament.

Unless the teams are booking on their own, they shouldn't be at Pop Century.

They will be at all the All-Stars, Caribbean Beach, and Port Orleans (should be Riverside only).

Your going to have "cheerleader" company then on 12/8 and 12/9.

I think Pop Warner is around untill 12/10 or 12/12.

Funny how All Star Sports keeps coming up available at the 11/28 - 12/4 time period??

Its there and then it isnt.... hummmm

Yeah, we were at All Star Sports in Feb. 08 and that cheerleader competition was going on. It was miserable! There was no way you could eat at the food court. One cool thing was the ESPN cameras everywhere.

If anyone has reservation during this week, I would highly suggest switching resorts.

Don't know if the Pop Warner kids are as rude as the Seniors, but we went during Grad Night week and the obscene comments being made by the kids, I would never subject my family to being around thousands of teenagers down there. We had an obnoxious boy mouth off to the bus driver one night and told him something along the lines of "Who cares....my XXXXX is bigger than yours." The gasps on the bus from the parents was incredible. The bus driver stopped the bus and asked us to identify who the kid was. Needless to say, he was held by security as we got off the bus - but it just ruins the trip. The food court was left a mess, and they were just not what I want to ever spend my vacation with again.

Hello WishIwasThere

Alright! A fellow Bristol CT member out there!!
The start date I saw for Pop Warner was 12/5 for the first day of games.

So I figured they would arrive 12/4 so that is why I picked 11/28 leaving on 12/4.

But the lady on Disney reservations line said they have a group of cheerleaders coming into POP Century form 12/2 until 12/9.

She also said that there is little or no value rooms left and the same for Moderate resorts because of Pop Warner. It showed her there wouldn't be rooms until 12/10 or so.

The only reason I had POP Century for 11/28 - 12/3 was because I had booked before the rush from the cheerleaders. I canceled this res. because I whanted to add the night of 12/3/09 and no rooms at POP. Sometimes All Star Sports comes up with this night and sometimes not.

If I still go I probably will stay at Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista, I have stayed there before and it has decent bus service and close to DTD if I miss a bus back to resort.

Here is some info from MouseSavers web site....

Pop Warner Week - The Pop Warner Superbowl and National Cheer & Dance Championships are held at Disney World in early December (2009 dates: December 5-12). The Value resorts and some of the Moderate resorts will be FULL of kids (both football players and cheerleaders). Expect a lot of noise if you stay there. This event can cause crowds at the parks in the evenings (not during the day, since they are busy competing) and there have been some unfortunate incidents, including violent fights between teams.

Think I will stay at Comfort Inn LBV after all.........

I will be there from the 10th to the 12th at POP. Hopefully it wont be too bad, but any time at WDW cant be bad. It will be ok no matter what the crowd situation thought since Im going for my 21st Birthday!

I am seeing on other sites that the Ranchos at CS are being used by Pop warner.

All Star Sports was availabel only if I was willing to pay full price for the nights of 12/2 and 12/3 and get discount on nights of 11/28 to 12/1/2009. This is the only value resort that comes up with availability for these dates. If at all..

Actually, they are at the All-Stars this year and the Coronado -- not the Caribbean or Port Orleans.

<Fingers crossed> Staying at Caribbean Beach 12/3 to 12/10. Last trip we were at the All Stars in April and had cheerleaders there then. Hoping to avoid that this time (although I am sure they are all fine upstanding youngsters).

I just phoned Disney again (1018/09) and no availability except at CS and Cabins at Fort Wilderness for 11/29 - 12/5 2009 dates.

Interesting that Pop Warner is supposed to be using CS Ranchos but there is still availability there??

All the teams must be arriving Friday 12/4. I just checked the website you can still get space at sports and music 11/29-12/4. After that(using 12/5 as a check out date) the only thing available was Beach Club

Been @ WDW during Pop Warner week in the past and - no problems. We're up and away to the parks early enough and stay out late enough for it not to be an issue. A group of cheerleaders in POP you say - that will make my 13 yr old happy.

39 days & counting!

Rah ! Rah ! Rah !
Shish Boom Bah !

It's cheerleader time at WDW.
Early December used to be such a quiet time.

Actually it's the room availability that causes problems for us and not the cheerleaders themselves.
The Pop Warner people are nice; there are just so many of them.

IMHO

We stayed @ All Star Sports in 2007 from the 2nd to 12th and the pop warner kids were there until the 9th.

The kids really weren't that bad and my 2 kids played with some in the pool. Quite frankly, the parents and coaches were worse. Some were completely obnoxious and got drunk almost every night by the main pool (by Surf) and it got ugly around 10pm each night. 4 parents were thrown out due to being drunk and starting a fight one night.

We had really no issues except the pool being really crowded and the parks weren't affected by it at all IMO.
