As much as I love Star Wars I would have to say Indy. I know the movies inside and out. When I was little I would watch an Indy movie every saturday night. It didn't matter how many time I've seen them....just kept watching and watching. :D

Wow, why would they release both movies in the same summer? What to pick, I don't think I can, right now I'm more of a Star Wars fan, but that could have something to do with the fact that the movie just came out. Ohh man, I can't wait, it'll be the biggest summer of movies ever!

You better start renting!!!

I think my favorite is the 3rd one, The Last Crusade, with Sean Connery playing his father. Although-- you know what. They are all good. I can't decide.

I've got a question for you guys...which do you think has the best theme music? Star Wars or Indy. They're both composed by the same guy so it's hard to choose but I love the Indy theme.

Indy and Star Wars are equal in my book.

I also think Last Crusade is the best one, I was glad they went back to Indy kicking serious Nazi !

And I was a fan of the Sean-Patrick Flannery: Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, that was great television.

I'd have to go with Indy...I liked the original Star Wars trilogy, but I haven't been all that inspired by Episodes I and II...Indy is more realistic--there are no explosions and there is no sound in space...granted I absolutely hated Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom b/c it was disgusting and the story wasn't all that great...Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade were great...I love Indy's theme

I had to go with Star Wars, simply because Temple of Doom kept the scales from tipping to Indy.

Besides, I'll never forget seeing Star Wars A New Hope (originally just "Star Wars") for the first time in 1977, in a good old fashion 900 seat BIG screen theatre, sitting in the 7th row...when the Star Destroyer came onto the screen chasing Princess Leia's ship, I think my heart skipped a few beats.

I'm sorry, DogsRule!, but I couldn't help but smile when you wrote "Indy is more realistic"...in Temple of Doom a heart is removed from a living man and he continues to live. Oooo-kay...:)

I'm trying to forget Temple of Doom...but those movies technically follow religion (people look at the Ark...bad news), whereas star wars doesn't even follow the rules of physics. Temple of Doom was a horrible movie.

The Indy trilogy is a must-see! It's holy, above all and everything else! Let the 4th come!!! THe only thing I'm fearing is the talk about a son... I don't think it fits, specially since Spielberg and Lucas aproved the book series, and they are pretty faithful to the movies. There's no room for a scriptwriter to fit a son in there...

they need a young guy because Harrison is getting kinda old for the role...I don't see him doing a fifth movie, so this is kinda a transition movie...and they need a way to get all the teenage girls out so disney can make more money! Watch them pick Hayden Cristensen...

I'd have to go with Star Wars - two reasons :
Firstly the original films (iv, v & vi) were made within a short period of time and so the original actors could be used. Now in the prequels those characters (except Obi Wan) don't exist BASICALLY "continuity of characters"
Secondly Indy is Harrison Ford - nothing against the guy (briliant as Hans Solo) but cannot imagine Indy played by anyone else OR Indy fighting through jungles, ancient ruins etc in a wheel chair - come on, I mean he is getting a bit too old for this sort of thing.
STAR WARS RULES:sohappy: :sohappy:

OK, what's Disney got to do with it? And there WON'T be a fifth movie, that much has been made clear. This is gonna be final, much like Lethal Weapon 4.

In fact, Indy is cronologically correct. So if in 1989 "Last Crusade" was set in 1938, you just gotta do the math for the new one. I'm pretty sure that's how they're gonna do it, instead of trying to "cover up" his age.
And speaking of "out of continuity" characters, how do you explain George Lucas inserting Amidala in "Return of Jedi" for the DVD release?
