Sorry if this has been discussed before but my family and i have been wondering if the new Indiana Jones movie will make the Indiana Jones stunt show thing change? i would love to see a indiana jones roller coaster like the one in Disneyland. Thanks!

There are rumors afoot that the scenes in the Stunt Show may change to reflect the new movie, but, as far as I know, nothing has been officially confirmed.

I wish it would change. It's one of those attractions we go to see about every 4th trip now. The ride like the one in Disneyland would be great.

I hope not. There's no reason in my opinion to have the parks continue to clone each other's rides. I need a reason to make a west coast trip occasionaly. Oh, and just for clarification, did you mean the roller coaster at DLP or the Dinosaur style ride at DL?

I prefer the DL ride myself.

I have only seen the show on my very first trip in 1993....so I really don't remember much. We always mean to see it, but we always seem to miss it. Maybe on this trip we will.:)

I agree that I see no need to duplicate everything that is in each park. Like any theme park that has many all over the country, differences make them each special and unique. If they were all the same, there would be no need to travel.:)

The new movie will make the old show obsolete. The easiest thing to do would be to update the stunt show to include some scenes from the new movie. Hopefully they're thinking of more radical changes.

I think if they do end up changing some scenes for the new movie, they should add (just by judging from the trailers) the new warehouse fight/chase scene or the fight scene that involves the rocket booster.

They both look like they would be exciting scenes to do.

I think if they make any changes it wont be until next year. Its typical for Disney to wait long after the released to make changes.

I think the era of the stunt show has passed - I'd rather see them abandon the Stunt Show (especially considering that there are two in the park now) and reclaim that area for a new indy dark ride.

I would love to see a dark ride that takes on the runaway mining cart theme from the second Indy film.

How is the new movie going to make the stunt show obsolete? The stunt show's scenes are based on Raiders.

The average guest would disagree. The show is still very popular. I have yet to see that show at less than 75% capacity and have been turned away because it was full on more than one occasion and I travel almost exclusively during the value season. The show is definitely in need of an update but Disney is not going to shut down an attraction that is still widely popular.

I am an average guest! (my mom says I'm above average, but she's biased)

I just think that two stunt shows in the same park is one (or even two) too many, and that the attraction doesn't hold up as well as a ToT or RRC. I almost think that the reason Indy gets a lot of guests is because the other rides at DHS (of which there are relatively few big blockbuster rides) are usually very busy, so Indy is a good alternative.

if Indy was at MK I bet it would have a significantly lower attendance rate.

That maybe true but the fact still remains that Disney is not going to close an attraction that is pulling numbers like Indy is. The only reason they would close a popular attraction is due to incredibly high maintenance costs (ie 20k). Indy does not suffer from this so until the people stop coming Indy will be there.

Reality does that from time to time.

Do not get me wrong, I would love to see the attraction from DL come to DHS but as long as the people keep packing it out it will remain. When the crowds start to die down like they did at Tarzan Rocks you can bet Disney will take a wrecking ball to that thing.
