Indiana Jones at Magic Kingdom

I keep hearing everyone talk about adding Indiana Jones: Temple of the Forbidden Eye from Disneyland and putting it in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom. Is this just a fanboy rumor or a blue sky proposal, or perhaps something more?

Thanks in advance!

Pretty much fan boy.

Assuming there was a firm proposal to add the EMV attraction it`d go in the expansion pad behind the Indy Stunt show in DHS.

Thanks for the information. Is there a current proposal to add anything in that Adventureland plot?

What be nice and a nice fit is if they removed the out of date never changing stunt show in Disney Studios with this attraction. But this is still a dream.

I keep hearing about this great ride and it was until recently that I found out that it had the same ride mechanics as countdown to extinction. That makes me very curious, I hope we get it out East, but I would doubt it for now.

I guess I am one of the few people who enjoys the stunt show. Certainly, it could use an update, but I don't think it's outdated, per se.

Exact same ride system with the exact same track layout. I, for one, would love a unique Indy ride but nothing like the one in Paris!!!

I like it too. I think its replay value is pretty low, though. I don't want it to be removed, it deserves an update.

The stunt show is not going anywhere anytime soon. It plays to a capacity show almost every show and still ranks in guest surveys as one of the top attractions as well as one of the top repeat attractions at DHS.

You know what also is the same?

They can have the same layout and ride system yet still be totally different, especially with EMV rides.

I don't believe they are the same

Having ridden both rides (IJ at DL and CtE at AK) numerous times I find it very difficult to believe they are the same ride layout, especially being that the DL ride has various points where the ride can choose between different paths and CtE is the same each time. The IJ ride seems to be smoother too, although that might be intentional.

Ah, but that's where the excellent ride theming and special effect design comes in.

There is only one ride path on Indy. The cars ride along the same track every time. The "three different paths" at the beginning are simply moving walls in the chamber with three "doors", and light effects in the room beyond. There is only one real door, and one real ride path.

The ride systems and track layout of Indy and CTX/Dinosaur are almost *exactly* the same. On CTX they added a bunch of extra walls to close in the large room you have in Indy, and segment things off. There are a couple diagrams floating around (which will probably come in here very shortly) of the ride path with the scenes labeled on it. Same ride path, different scenes.

I'm a fan of the Indy stunt show too and had a blast the one time I got picked to be in it. Even when you know what is going to happen, I'd say its more rewatchable than Lights Motors Action is. If it came down to keeping only one, I'd say get rid of LMA and keep the classic.

Definitely one ride track with moving doors. I've seen the secrets behind it on TV before, but there is a diagram on the wikipedia page to give you a better idea of how it works:

Scroll midway down to "The Ride" section. I know you need to take Wikipedia with a grain of salt, but this is one instance where the facts are confirmed elsewhere.
