Agreed, I feel really bad for those going around this time! I'm going in October so I won't have a chance to ride it before it goes down. It needs the refurb bad, though. Can't have the top attraction in bad shape.

Oh well. I caught Indy in January. Wanted to time my visit for Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain overlays.

I am so upset by this. First time at Disneyland in October. I was seriously more excited for Indy than any other ride.

My son was never going to be tall enough to ride it this year. My only hope was that maybe if they closed Indy for refurbishment, there would be a very very small chance they would bring back the show that they did the summer that Kingdom of the Crystal Skull came out... he loves the Indy show at DHS. I guess since there's no announcement of the show with the announcement of the refurbishment it doesn't look good, but I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

How about getting him to join the Jedi Academy? Does he like Star Tours?

He does. I had forgotten that DL has it actually until I read the thing about Indy on the official website. He's a little shy so he hasn't wanted to do it yet, but that could change. He does like to watch it, at least!

Oh geez, they do the pick out of the crowd thing? Not the sign up in advance thing like at DHS? For some reason he takes it really hard when he wants to get picked for one of those things and doesn't. We've seen Turtle Talk at least a dozen times in Epcot; we've tried brightly colored shirts, distinctive looking hats, told him to wave his arm like crazy... he leaves in tears about half the time, but he still wants to go back because he wants to ask Crush, "How do turtles swim?" Same question every time.

Alright, cool.:) If you decide to try and get him to participate, you should make a sign so they'll pick him.
The sign thing is a good idea, though. We'll at least use that at Crush. Adults can't ask questions at Epcot, so there's even more competition to fight through at DCA! He REALLY wants to ask Crush, "How do turtles swim?"

I know they're a bit limited on the space they have in the queue, but it'd be really nice if they could figure out a way to put the FastPass Return line separate from Standby until much closer to the boarding area. It's utterly stupid to have the FastPass merge point all the way outside the temple and waste all of that interior themed queue space.

Yes they do. Crap. Out of all the times I've seen the Academy, all the kids who scream and holler and make it known they want to be up there get picked. Have him scream and jump up and down. He should get picked.

Aaaww, well I hope your son gets to do Jedi and ask Crush his question! Make sure to acknowledge his birthday on the sign. Put it in big letters! I'll help you come up with a phrase, if you want.
