In room safe size

I didn't worry too much about this in 2009 because all of the electronics were small, this time around we are taking a laptop with us. I can't recall how big the safes are.

Will a 16" or 17" laptop fit in them? If not, we will look at alternative electronics for the trip.

In the values and mods they are tiny. Nothing more than a camera and a couple of wallets will fit in them. However, I don't know how big they are in AoA suites.

I found this: http://land.allears.net/blogs/jackspence/2012/07/animal_kingdom_lodge_jambo_hou.html

The closet is decent sized. Inside are a luggage rack, a fold-up crib, extra bedding, an iron, and a wall safe big enough to hold a laptop computer. Robes are provided in Club Level rooms.

the rooms at disney are very safe. if it cannot fit in the safe put it somewhere where you cover it with stuff and only you know where it is.

Sorry to disagree but, Disney rooms are no safer than those at other hotels. Plus some unforseen things can happen. For example on one trip the mousekeeper proped the door to my room open and forgot to close it. The door was proped open from whenever the mousekeeper did it until my return at 11 P.M.ish.

Where are you staying? I have not stayed at the AKL, but all the others we stayed in would not even hold my daughters tablet or my big camera. It did hold my smaller camera, wallets, ipods and such, but that was all.
We just stayed in the Royal Rooms at PORS in June, and they did not enlarge the safes with the refurb.
Others may tell you it's safe, I would never take a chance with my important info on my laptop to leave it in the room. I and I'm sure many others have seen the mousekeeping cm prop a door open and walk to another area to get things or help another guest. I'd rather be safe than sorry. It only takes one time. I will say we've never had anything stolen, and we had to leave our portable dvd player and gps in the room. However, that doesn't mean it hasn't happened to others.

Thank you all for your comments. We are staying at AKL-Jambo House. From the photo, it would most definitely have to be my laptop rather than my son's, which is quite large (17"). That photo actually makes it look like the safe is larger than the one we had when we stayed at the Poly. Perhaps it's just the angle?

My friend kept insisting mine should be locked up and tried to put it in the safe at AKL, but it didn't fit.

I just leave my stuff out...but I don't have anything confidential or irreplaceable in them.

iPads fit, FWIW.

Sorry really old posts but just wondering if anyone knows how big the safe is in Saratoga Springs (one bed room) The idea of using your case is great though. Thanks
