I'm going to WDW in January and will be staying at Pop Century. My plan this year is to decorate our resort room window. I've always been jealous of those with decorated windows, and want to go all out this year.

My idea is to bring a strand of Christmas lights that I have had forever and never used, and tape them along the inside of the window. My only question is, is there an outlet directly under the window or in a close vicinity to the window where I can plug my strand in?

No. The closest electric outlet is near the table and chairs. Bring a 9 foot extension cord along with the lights.

Thanks! I will probably just break down and buy battery-operated lights when they go on sale after the holidays. I'm obsessive-compulsive and don't like extension cords showing.

We stayed at POP last christmas in the Dalmation section. We took a minature tree and some small disney ornaments that you can buy at the christmas shop in downtown disney along with some small lights that we placed on the table. We added window clings and had stockings ,garland, christmas toys thruout the room also. The Cleaning staff would leave us little presents under our tree and handmade cards "wishing us a happy vacation.":xmas:

Dalmations are at All Star Movies (Our favorite building) Are you sure you stayed at POP?

Anyway, I always thought that the cleaning crew used stuff in the rooms to decorate the windows. It was done for us before with our kids stuffed animals, etc.

We are staying at Pop this Christmas as well. Hubby took our little christmas tree to work, but we are going to bring that most likely, possibly a set of lights as well for the window. We can't wait to go.

When we got married back in 2001, the cleaning crew took our bride and groom Mickey and Minnie plush and put them on the bed along with our bride and groom hats along with chocolates in front of each on our last night at the resort

yeah have fun with it. we were at pop last Christmas and I brought decorations for all 3 of the windows (group of 12, 3 rooms). window clings, silver garland, lights, minitree for the table and stockings. That was the first things the kids did when we arrived, was decorate the rooms. So much fun and made it so Christmas like for a hotel room.

I just got back and there were lots of windows decorated for Halloween. I saw rooms with pumpkin lights and lots of rooms with window clings. Have fun, wish I was going back. I think I'm going though withdrawl a week ago I was swimming and getting ready for MNSSHP. Today I'm in pants and sweatshirt and needed to turn the heat on last night :-(

Anyone have any good ideas for decorating AFTER the holidays? I'll be there January 3rd - January 7th.

You can decorate for the new year! I usually am down there for New Years. I bought a 2005 Mickey and put him in the window last year. They usually have a pretty good selection of new year Mickeys and friends. You can add more 2006 decorations if you want. Make it look like they are having a 2006 party! :)

I think I saw your room were you on the 1st floor of the 70's bldg near the twister board? If it wasn't you then someone else did the same thing. I saw notes on it but didn't write one.
