Indeed, it was nobly intended. However, when I think of "real issues" most of what comes to mind isn't appropriately dealt with in a theme park.
Fair enough, I wasn't suggesting some grand political statement here though. More plants and a Wall-E ride would do the trick!
I feel that's part of the reason why epcot is getting an overhaul.I've always thought a Wall-E ride would be good too. But then I think what would it entail. Is it a cautionary type ride where if we don't change our ways this is how we'll end up? If so wouldn't that be too preachy for a theme park, especially a Disney one? That was one of the major complaints critics had about the film, it was too preachy for some.
I don't really care for Soarin's theming as it is. I heard rumors that the attraction had much loftier goals, but was stripped down to an exposed ride system and a giant blank screen/loading area with classic DCA cutbacks.
