Are you one of those people who when someone is tying their shoes in a slow moving 30 minute line walk ahead of the people to close the gap or do you do the polite thing and let them tie their shoes and then just follow them when they start moving again.

I dont' understand some people are so eager to move two feet up in the line they can't wait for someone to take a picture or put something in a backpack and then they look at the person like they some sort of criminal.

Hurry up and Wait :p

I wonder if it is the same kind of people that stand so close you can feel them breathing on your neck. :fork:

I barely stand in line, but when I do, that type of behavior mentioned in the op doesn't really bother me. UNLESS!!! It's opening at say TSM and of course people naturally want to snap pics and stuff, but I hate being behind a group who holds up the line when it's virtually no line. Come back in 15 minutes, you can stand and snap pics all you want then.

Unless the only thing at the other side of that "gap" is the loading platform, then what difference does it make? There's no need to be rude and skip over people, whether they are tying their shoe, looking through a bag, or taking a photo. You've accomplished absolutely nothing by skipping over one person/family. In your 45 minute wait, the only thing that you could have done for yourself, at best, is get on one ride vehicle ahead of the other person.

We see the same mindless behavior on the roadways every day. Drivers weave in and out of traffic, and for what, to get one car length ahead of me? Did that really make the other driver feel better? :brick:

I guess for some people, it does :hammer:

its fine when one person holds up a line cuz they dropped something or whatever. when happens over and over again then it gets annoying
but we would also make alot of people mad cuz alot of my friends who worked there would let us cut in front of everyone!

Heading for the great escape.
If your inconsiderate enough to inconvenience a whole line of people just because your unable to organise your personal admin you deserve to be walked over far less past. Maybe you should stick to slip ons.

Yeah,

It's sooooooo rude .. i mean how dare you put a drink in your book bag, or tie your shoes I mean come on... if your shoes come untied at least have the decency to wait until you get off the attraction to tie them... I mean the person behind you really wants to move three feet forward so they can wait in that space ... those inconsiderate pausesers I bet there are empty rockets going on space mountain because someone took 20 seconds to take a picture, and while we are on the subject what about that SLOOWWW over 50 crowd... I mean if they aren't up for the task of running through the que they should just stay home.

I'm not the type to skip by people just to continue waiting, makes no sense. Also, there is no way at all I would let people skip me if i'm taking a pic or tying my shoe without letting them know I WILL be getting right back inline behind the same person I started out behind. Thats not just at Disney but any where that I have to wait in a line.

Most lines aren't single file. Guests are encouraged to move as far forward as they can to fill whatever space is available. It's using space efficiently.

Think for yourselfer
This behavior is one of my biggest pet peeves.

There is absolutely no reason to rush to stand in an unoccupied place in the queue. If i am online for EE and I want to finish reading an article, you can wait. What is the point of squeezing past me? Is there some kind of insane voice in your head telling you that you need to be closer to the load point? Lunatics.

i was in line at Kali on my scooter when i made a turn and had to stop for line. when i started forward with the line in front of me, i ran over a young person, not a child, sandled toes as her foot was in front of my rear wheels. i know it hurt but i did not see her foot behind me. she was like they told us to stay as close as possible when i pointed out where her foot was in front of wheel. she was made when CM did not make me get off or out of line. watch where your body parts are when in line.

Spoken like a Mansion Butler :-P

I would actually beg to differ... with a few exceptions... I would say most of them are indeed single file and even if the width of the line is larger there is no need for people who aren't together to be standing next to each other in "MOST" lines.
