impact of xmas parade taping at MK?

I was tentatively planning a trip to MK on Saturday, December 1st. How much of an impact does the parade taping have? How long does the process run and does it affect the rest of the park or just Main Street? Just trying to figure out if I need to make other arrangements.

I agree that it goes back to normal in the afternoon. The only places that will be more crowded is Main St and the hub. Don't let the crowds in that area scare you off, the rest of the park will be just fine. It is not publicized who is taping at a certain time, at least they did not last year, until that morning. But the entertainment portion in front of the castle is taped on Friday, and the actual parade down Main St is taped on Saturday. We actually have tickets for the entertainment portion taping on Friday (Annual Passholders) and are planning to be there on Saturday for the taping, because it is something you don't see during a regular visit.
