Imagineers and Social Media

What's even more fascinating to me, is how do Imagineers share their ideas within Imagineering? Is that allowed, culturally speaking? Is that stepping on toes? For example, if you're an Imagineer over working on Villains land for Magic Kingdom and you wake up with an amazing idea for Monstropolis or what could happen to Disneyland's Tomorrowland...what do you do? Nothing? Or is there an intranet on which to post ideas or monthly "open mic" for ideas? And are there some Imagineers who have so many ideas...they are considered obnoxious? That's what I'd like someone to ask an Imagineer if interviewing them!

We do that sort of thing in my job. We have open forums where we solicit ideas from other employees. The thing is, there is no reciprocal feedback given (for the most part). As others have said, teams that are working on something under either a formal NDA or under a "dark project" designation are not sharing details with other teams. So if somebody uses a forum to submit an idea, and a certain team thinks "that is a really good idea" they are not going to respond with "your idea would be great for my secret project". Sometimes (rarely) there is something that is so our of left field, and yet has wonderful potential, that a Senior Executive will pick it up and the person who suggested it will get some sort of recognition (after it goes to market).
