Imagineering hates me! (Seas/Nemo pics)

Well, it's official.. Imagineering does indeed hate me.

First I take pictures of the mural being torn down at Living Seas, in plain sight. They put big blue tarps up.

I take photos of the ride and ride system in the tanks. They've now put up mini-walls to block the view of the vehicles. (It's really silly, you'll see it when i post the photos)

Anywho.. worked on my various camera settings and got some really nice photos this time around. Pics will be up within the next hour or so.

Hilarious title.

Sorry that they're onto you...

Oh, well, at least everyone has your pictures in the meantime. I often find myself relying on your photo updates since I don't have time to visit the parks right now...and I work here!

You do a great job, mousermerf.

I think there is a spy among us relaying info to WDI about wall placement to impede picture taking :lookaroun

Looking forward to seeing your new pictures, that's as close as I'll get to WDW for a while.

Alright.. so for starters, this is what the outside looks like. Some new rockwork (the part that doesn't match in color at the moment) and a big giant pile of white sand (and what appears to be even more sand in bags next to it.)

And from the monorail station.. a whole lotta ugly on the building's exterior...

Nothing says "futuristic" like plywood! Which brings us to our next pic, where I tried to get a "true color" look into the tank and how the lower area appears. Is that plywood...?

100_1747.jpg

It is plywood! They built a little plywood wall to block the view of vehicles! They used empty paint/spackle buckets and some plywood sheets! How incredibly silly is that? It's not like anyone else but me sits there and takes pictures of it...

Here's the area where they had the projection last time..

100_1779.jpg

It does appear to be plywood free.. but upon closer inspection - is that cardboard with duct tape blocking the spot where the projection used to be?

100_1779z.jpg

So, those are the good pics.. I think I got some of the Dolphins fighting too, there were some po'ed dolphins in there making big splashes. I'll see if any of the other photos show anything of interest, but these are what showed up the best thus far.

How could you even get those pics? They look like they were taken from inside the building.
You can see when you go through the exit for Turtle Talk and look through the tank.

BTW I thought I would have seen the ladder by now.

Great pics as always.

I can't believe cardboard and duck tape has stopped the WDWMagic Members from photos!!

I remember the things I used to do when I wanted pictures of rides under rehab/being built. I think I rode the TTA 100 times while Stitch was being developed just for good shots of the queue.

You're probably right. But 1000's of people are seeing your pictures online. :D ;)

Think of it this way... Imagineering doesn't hate you... they're challenging you to imagine up new angles for pictures.

...or maybe they just hate you.

The people who do the DiveQuest program can see in there too so maybe it's to keep their peeping eyes out as well?

Nevertheless, thanks for the pic update! :)

If you know the right people, it can get reinstated... and if not, American Express sided with me on my dispute :D
