Well, I'd really like to become and imagineer for Disney. Can someone pelase tell me what I'd have to do to get in. That means where to possibly go to college and what to take. Thanks.
Hey! I just wanted to reply to your post about becomeing an Imagineer. I know how hard it is to find information on the subject and I think this might help you. On the Disney website( I think it's the career and WDWCP section) there is information about imagineering internships. I'm not sure if it's posted there anymore...I'll have to check, but I was really interested in it. The internships were located in Burbank I believe and sounded really interactive and a great part of the creative process for imagineer wanna-be's. Hope I could help.:animwink:
Disney Imagineering RARELY (if ever) hires straight out of college. They prefer people with practical experience in their field, and an education to back it up.
My suggestion would be, study art and engineering, attempt to get a job in the entertainment industry (not as a performer necessarily, but rather, as a designer), or in the amusement industry (non-disney end of it, also as a designer), or get a job with Disney doing something else...
THEN aim for imagineering.
Also... Joe Rohde, head of WDI for AK, put it best.
"There aren't any classes you can take to be an imagineer. It's more of an aptitude."
So.. just have fun and don't burn yourself out trying to become an imagineer.
