Images in Signatures

Hi!

As many of you have noticed, there are an increasing amount of images being attached to signatures on the boards. While I appreciate you all like to express yourselves , and build your cool images, it is having a negative impact on the forum speed for a large proportion of users (particularly those on dialup connections). I have therefore removed the capability to add images to signatures (you can still add text to your signatures). However, the AVATARS (images to the left of the posts) will remain. You can of course customize those AVATARS to display your artwork.

I´m sorry for all of you guys... I know you loved working on your art.
But, I have to admit that it was getting kinda boring seeing almost everybody with a similar signature!

Please, don´t hit me for saying this, but maybe we also need a limit on the text we can put as a signature... there are some signatures that are simply way too long and take almost my whole screen!

Well its good for me becuase I have a 56K dial-up connection and the boards will go a lot faster. But, some of you had nice sig's like NowInc,Aberrisford,MainStreet Usa, and Fantasia Boi...

LoL...I have done actually a good portion of the avatars and sigs on this site....I just dont make it well known

What I find funny is that some peoples signatures are 10 times longer then their posts.

Not just coz I put my new signature online ! humph!

but I use a normal dial up modem - and I never actually thought this is taking way too long

Im used to a very very fast connection at work and a very very slow connection at home and dont think this website is at all slow with te signatures

just my minor opinion

shame coz they added peoples individuality

Actually..there was one thing that bugged a lot of people about sigs...

they were too LARGE (not file size wise..but dimension wise)..and for those people who used 800X600 or smaller..it really made the forums a pain to go thru...

I dont care either way...I can find other ways to express my "creativity"

good point there, i'm at 800x600, and they take up a quarter of the screen, and so many have them. they were cool though, but atleast u still have an avatar, most dont even let have an avatar, so be glad for that
