I'm Thankful for....

So Thanksgiving week has begun here in the US - time to take a pause for a moment, stop the complaining, and think about all we have to be thankful for.

I'm thankful for

· God's amazing work and grace in my life
· My husband, who is so much more than I ever deserved
· My son and his fiancé and my daughter and son-in-law, who continually amaze me
· My real-life friends, who continue to teach me
· My internet friends, who lift my spirits and share a very special bond and a new respect for zombies
· All our military men and women and their families, who sacrifice so much for us
· The strong values my parents instilled in me that I've tried to pass on to my kids
· Steve (@wdwmagic), and all his hard work making this playground of ours so special
· My cats, Thelma and Louise, who graciously share their home with me (usually)
· My dreams and the precious time I've had to dream them
· Vacations in Florida
· Health ( a boot-free year!)
· Palm trees
· Dark Chocolate and George Clooney, both of which I enjoy much more than I should
· Rita's




· oh, and ice cream of course

I too am thankful for all the obvious reasons. My Son, my grandaughter, my health....thank God I still have a job. But I want to give special thanks to...my divorce lawyer.

Thankful for my wife, and:
1) M & M she gave me
2) Another 1-yr contract (signed last Thursday) for my business
3) My mommy and sisters
4) Sophie, Sweet Pea, and Hurley, (my calico, silver tabby, and grey tabby)
5) WDW, WDWmagic and all of you that make me forget about life for awhile
6) My '97 Ford Ranger that has 450,000 miles and is always there when we need something picked up, or an extra ride

also my amazing parents i wouldnt be where i am today if it wasnt for them
*also my parent surprised me and took me to the notre dame football game yesterday it really made me cherish my time with my parents because it will be hard once i hit the real world in a few months*

- My friends and family. Especially after this crazy month. Seeing us take each other in for warmth and showers, helping each other deal with any damage, and helping everyone else. It was really touching to see.
- An awesome girlfriend who managed to survive a Disney trip with my family back in June. Then I'm surprised enough she can put up with my idiocy.
- My good ol' dog over there in my profile picture.
- Rutgers for finally not sucking this season. Of course its the season where I chose a Disney vacation over season tickets.
- Vince Gilligan for making Breaking Bad.

What an amazing thought. And true for me, too. I try, but as everyone, I fail in my faithfulness. I thank God for correction and grace.

Also want to give specific thanks for...
  • My mother, whom I still take for granted way too often. She turns 70 this year.
  • Steve, and this wonderful community.
  • My bosses, who have worked with me and believed in me.
  • Friends and family... who put up with me.
  • The Contemporary and the monorail... which always remind me of the wonder and excitement of Walt's dreams that inspired me as a child and still do so today.

I have had a rough year and am thankful for being given the strength to get through.

After that, I'm thankful for the wonderful son, daughter, and granddaughter that I have.
My freedom and the military personnel that make that possible.
My job - even when I hate it.
My new found friends here at WDWMagic...thank you Steve!
That in 22 days I get to leave all of my worries and BS behind for a week. Thank you Walt!

I am grateful for...

Good doctors
High-tech medical machines that can see what is wrong with us
The drug companies that everyone hates, who create and deliver meds that improve my life. Thank God for them.
Nice nurses

My family and friends, who are kind, generous and bring fun and joy even when things suck. I'm so very, very lucky.

My wonderful house in Florida. I'm living a dream come true when I get to be here.

Airlines that carry me back and forth from Florida.

My neighbors. They're the best (except for the one...)

Swimming pools.

Sunshine.

Theme parks. :)

And I know it's generic these days, but the members of our armed forces who allow us to live our lives without worrying about whether we'll be blown up or shot. Being able to complain about the cheap new bags Wal-Mart is using (and they really do suck - not grateful for those!) is a luxury they allow me. I sometimes take it for granted and should not.

Tide pods.

Driving. After swimming, it's the best escape.

Discussion boards, where I can pass time without leaving the couch or bed...and read interesting stuff. :)
