I'm so flipping confused!

So i'm currently on the phone with a cast member (not the best one I ever had mind you).

2 questions -

1) about water parks:

per WDW website:

Water Park Fun & More Option
When you buy a multi-day Magic Your Way ticket with Park Hopper option, you can add the Water Park Fun & More option for just $22 (plus tax) more! With this option, you'll enjoy a certain number of visits based on the length of ticket purchased.
You can buy Magic Your Way tickets online. For additional information about the Water Park Fun & More Option, explore our frequently asked questions

However, I asked the Cast Member to price what it would be to add this to my ticket and she quoted me the price of a water park ticket plus tax, for all 10 days of my MYW + park hopper ticket. Which totaled $58.58 per person.

But based on the above, it says for JUST $22. She says there is NO ONE else I can talk to. I know i can speak to guest services but she is refusing to put me through.

2) on my waltdisneyworld.com reservation it shows our flight info. However, it says the times of pick up as 12 a.m. for both arrival and depature. The flight info is accurate however the time is wrong. She says that is b/c all the DME drivers know the flights and it is just automatically added as 12 a.m.

Is this true? Or should my reservation reflect the accurate flight times????

So....she finally let me speak to guest services who was not any nicer. All I wanted was clarification on something on their website. I wasn't trying to get something for nothing.

I was told that the $58.58 per person was the $22 per day PLUS the additional cost of the tickets b/c the price went up in June which is about $40 per ticket. So that is where she is getting her number. However, it still doesn't mathematically add up in my head but that is what she said. I wasn't going to argue. I don't really want to go to the water park that badly anyway. I was just inquiring.

Why are the cast members so cranky this a.m.?

Sorry you had two bad apples in a row! Ugh. Last time we were planning I just hung up, said I got disconnected and spoke to someone else much nicer...Might not have been the best way to handle it, but when they refuse to hand you over to someone else, there's not much else you can do! lol. Apparently, they are not having a magical day.

As for the Water Parks, I haven't been to them in over a decade. I'd like to go, I just think it's silly it's an additional cost, and I'd rather spend it other ways, esp. when there are such nice pools on property. Maybe once my daughter is older, if she expresses an interest maybe we'll do it. I would like to do the water coaster at Blizzard Beach someday.

It was odd to get two very "unmagical" people in a row! And I will fully admit - I was about to hang up on her and say it was cell phone that dropped the call but I pushed through. Bad decision - I should have dumped the call. I did get my answer though - after speaking to tickets. She was very nice and very helpful. :) I posted the answer in a different thread.

I inquired about the same thing regarding the flight time being 12am, and I am sure they get lot of calls about that. The CM said that everything was correct in their system and that as long as the flight numbes were there, they would know the correct flight time....Ok, well then put it on our trip details that way? Anyhoo, that's the answer I got....

After asking 3 cast members and you confirming it as well, I am not going to worry about it. I was told they don't add the time in b/c flight times can change, even if just by a few minutes.

Sounds like a fair answer..when is your trip? I am going in September for my honeymoon...1 night at WDW and they cruise on the Fantasy...

If you want to add the waterparks, wait until you get there. Use the tickets at least once to enter a park. THEN upgrade. Weird quirk of the system is that if the tickets have been used for entry to a park, you get the current gate price in value for the ticket instead of what you paid for it. So, you'll get the current value and not have to pay the difference between the price you paid and the current (increased) rate. This way, you'd only pay the waterpark upgrade.

I spoke to a ticketing today and they said that i would still have to pay the same flat rate - no matter when I upgraded b/c it is $22 flat + the difference in the park ticket.

If you are getting a 4 day ticket with 2 options then the 22.00 is the difference in the cost of a 4 day ticket with one option.

Add both Park Hopper® AND Water Park Fun & More Options for only $22 more than the cost of a 2- to 10-Day Base Ticket with one option

Sucks you got caught in the ticket increase gap like that.. But the water parks are worth it.

Just got twice now to get your money's worth :)

yes, I know. I was going to add them at a $22 a person since we have MYW + park hopper already. But with the ticket increase having to be factored in, it is just not worth it.

Just do as @MissM suggested and upgrade once you have already used your tickets...It will then only cost you $22.00.

The ticket agents on the phone obviously aren't going to tell you about this loophole!
