For my very first time going to MNSSHP on October 17, 2013 I am looking on the Internet and putting together a girl Mad Hatter costume.
I am trying to get it to look as close to the park costume as possible. Like this:
So I drew an idea of what my costume would look like, then I decided to look for each part on the Internet. Here are each of the items:
1.) I found this dress. It will go underneath an orange cardigan, and it will have a white Peter Pan collared shirt under it.
2.) this is the type of white shirt that I will be wearing underneath the dress except that mine has rhinestones on the collar.
3.) I'm still looking for this. An orange cardigan or jacket to go over the blue dress.
I really like this, but it is way too short. I wished they had it a little longer, then it would be perfect.
Some of my other choices are these:
4.) these are the green leggings that I will be wearing underneath the dress.
5.) I know that Hatter has gigantic green clown shoes, but I'm a big Converse fan, so I'm gonna get some green high tops to wear.
6.) of course you can't be the Mad Hatter without a hat, but I'm trying to decide what to do about it. Here's why:
I have this Johnny Depp Mad Hatter hat that I got in DTD last year, but I figured if I'm going to dress up as the 1951 Mad Hatter, then wouldn't the Johnny Depp hat kinda ruin the look?
But as I was looking through the Internet today, I saw this Tinker Bell hat and saw that it was the exact same color as 1951 Hatter's hat. So I'm thinking about getting this and taking off the picture of Tinker Bell, and taking off the wings on the back, then maybe putting a blue ribbon around it and the 10/6 tag.
7.) and last but CERTAINLY not least, I'm bringing my Dormouse plushie!
The week after next is homecoming week at my school, and for character day, I want to wear my Mad Hatter outfit once it all comes in, but I'm nervous because I don't wanna be the only one dressed up, and I'm not a big fan of wearing dresses so I'm afraid it'll be a little much for school.
So anyways, what do you think? Any improvements? Any comments?
I hope this gets me some attention from Alice and Hatter, because I would LOVE to hang out with them during MNSSHP night!
