I saw it in person a few weeks back. It's WAY better than the joke of a show we have at DHS. Such a shame they haven't updated our show at all...and we have s freaking huge venue built JUST for it!

I'll have to watch the DL Fantasmic to understand what everyone is talking about when they say it's better. I would definitely prefer Peter Pan to Pocahontas (although apparently Peter Pan has now been switched over to PotC, which is an IP I'm beginning to get very tired of) and their dragon definitely puts ours to shame.
I realize I'm the only one. But I stand with that opinion. The new one (in Tokyo) is too big, if that makes any sense. Everyone is so far away and you can barely see anything. Mickey is a speck of dust. The digital LED Sorcerer Mickey hat is cheesy as hell. Maybe all of this would feel different at the DHS theater, but I definitely don't like the updated symphonic score with the new melodies and singers. Lost it's magic. No more goosebumps at the end.

I just want a better Maleficent. Something more than a head and streamers on sticks. Such a let down when you consider what they can do.

Does this mean it's happening? WooHoo! That'll be a heck of ride! From the bottom of the ocean to the ends of the universe..... I can't wait to see what Disney comes up with.

I don't like the new music for 2.0 at Disneyland. Especially the song that plays at the end after the show ends. The original instrumental version of the main theme is so much more awesome. I will agree WDW's needs an upgrade in terms of the projections and water screens and lighting. And DL's new Maleficent is truly incredible. When I watched it a few weeks ago for the first time I was dropping my jaw when she came out! Holy mackerel is it big and menacing!

Not every change DL has made is positive (ditching Peter and Hook for more Pirates!?), but I'd trade it all in a heartbeat to get the DL dragon. It's an embarrassment that DL has had that amazing dragon rising out of TSI for almost 8 years, while WDW settles for a head on a stick in a purpose-built theater.
Isn't Tokyo's show different, because of where they hold it? LOL Mickey wouldn't get any smaller just because they add some effects and swap out some scenes.
