I'm Baaaaack!!

So, I read this forum year 'round, but I only post on it when I have an upcoming trip! I was just down at Disney in July, but I'm coming back the first week of January! This is going to be my first trip with out adults, so seeing as how it's going to be just 2 college students going we are trying to get as much as we can out of the smallest amount of money possible!

So here's what I'd like to know....

1. We are staying from January 2 to January 5...What will the crowds be like then? And will the Christmas decorations still be up?

2. We are staying on the camp grounds...Is this really the cheapest place to stay, and will it be too cold to camp? Are the camp grounds nice? Fort Wilderness is one of the few places on property that I know nothing about!

3. We plan on leaving around 11PM on January 1 in order to arrive at DHS the morning of the 2 when they open. We are going to do DHS the 2, MK the 3, Epcot the 4 and AK on the 5. We are going to leave at AK's closing to return home. It's about an 8 hour drive. Is this a reasonable feat for 2 college guys? I know we will be exhausted at the end, but we are truly trying to save as much money as possible!

Any info on any of the questions I asked would be awesome!

Thanks!

I think you can get all that done and be fine! Yeah, you'll be tired but who cares? You can rest anytime! As far as camping.....I don't know. If Florida has another winter like they did last year I think you guys would be pretty darn cold! I'd check into the cost of a value resort! I checked Disney's 2011 Value Season dates and saw that value season rates start Jan 2nd so the cost will be lower for resort and I would think after New Year's the crowd would be down too. Have a great time!

We were there last year at this time, the Decorations are defintiely up thru the 3rd as is the Osbourne Lights in DHS, after that no Osbourne lights and the decorations disappear every day. CHristmas music ended on the 3rd too.

As for crowds, they diminished after the 2nd but built up again beginning on the 5th due to the marathon weekend. You should be ok at that time, but its not very slow yet. You have to wait until after the marathon weekend for that

1. Crowds will be fine and getting lower each day you are there. The decorations will be up on the 2nd and bits of it will be coming down each day of your trip.

2. I don't know anything about the campgrounds either. Looks like a tent hook-up is around $50 a night. Are you bringing your own tents? Ask Kingdom Konsultants if that is the best option.

3. I think that will be fine. It won't be easy, but if you can get a good night's sleep every night, you should be fine.

Have fun!
