Hi, I am planning on applying for the Fall Advantage CP either next week or two weeks. I live in Massachusetts, go to Quinnsigamond Community College, majoring in Hospitality Management, and this year there aren't any CP Presentation being held in MA, I have been watching the list and they only apear to be doing the presentation for Culinary students for anywhere around me, like in NH, RI, CT. So I must do a Phone Interview with the e-Presentation. Now for the questions. lol

1. Can you give me some examples of interview questions I have though of a few that I think they will ask, such as, "Why do you think you make a good canidate for the CP? Do you have any experience working in Guest Services? and What Roles interest you and which ones don't? I just want to try maybe like a dry run like in a mmirror or with my parents asking me the questions.

2. The CP site says that the FACP starts in May/June has anyone on here and done the Advantage Program starting May? or is it later May into June?

3. Is it worth bringing you car? I mean are the roads and ways to Markets, Disney Parks, School, Work easy enough with just the buses?

I think of more when they come back to me I had a late night last night lol.

Hey there. Don't worry about the presentation dates. They are still coming in (my school in NJ usually hosts a presentation, and there are no NJ dates, so I'm still waiting). Let's see if I can answer your questions.

1. You listed some good ones. They may ask you want you would do in a situation, like "there's a kid who wants to ride Space Mountain, and he's too short. What would you do?".

2. It depends on the dates available when you accept. I did the Spring 2005 program, and there were about 4 accepting dates available. So there could be several, starting in May and going into June.

3. I would say bring a car if you can. I didn't, and I really did not like the buses. They got you to where you wanted to go, but they were an adventure (if you know what I mean:) ). My friend gave me a lot of rides home at night (because I usually worked at nights, then saw Spectro and she was in Spectro. But anyway).

Good luck with everything. I hope to do Fall 2006 myself.

Yeah like the person above said, not all the presentation site are listed yet. None of the ones here in Hawaii are up yet too.

1. They'll ask a roommate situation quesetion like "What would you do if there was a problem between roommies?"

2. Fall Adv. starts in mid-late May. There might be a date or two in June besides the arrival dates for Quarter fall schools.

3. If you can, bring the car. I did fine both times without it and mainly used the bus. My first time I rarely caught rides with people and the second time I'd mainly just catch rides home from work. The bus system now is supposed to be better now than when I was there, so people from Fall/fall adv '05 would know about the new company.

Good questions:
1. Like radiohost said, the most important question will be something like: "Why do you want to do the college program". Say something about the company and it's mission and how you want to carry it out. Be prepared. I'd say smile a lot, but it won't help on the phone.
2. There will be different dates you can choose from when you accept. Choose one that works best for you.
3. Bring a car. I did and it was great. Trips to the beach/miami on days off is a fun time had by all.

You'd be surprised! A good interviewer will "hear" a smile over the phone. Smiling is not a purely visual affectation, it changes the timbre of your voice. Makes you sound more pleasant.

Go for it! Smile!

Thanks guys for all your help, with these interview questions I know have my parents asking them RANDOMLY to prepare me for this interview and I answer them. You guys are really great, I really hope I can land this interview the expereince itselfs would be awsome, thanks guys for the wishes of good luck, I am going to the Campus Coordinator tomarrow to see if she knows anything about the presentation coming to Massachusetts or even my school, then play it from there, If they are coming to my school then I will probably interview there, but if not Ill do a phone interview maybe next week. I have came to the decision that I will bring my car. Now for another question?

My parents, specifically my mom, wants some one to drive down with me. Have any of you guys had your parents go down with you and then travel back home, via plane, train, autombile? Did it work out for you? We're looking for maybe flights and stuff, but to let my dad loose in an airport is like sending him into a house of mirrors, he has no idea where to go lol, he relies on my mom to do it. So my real question is, when you get down there does the program start immediatly like the next day, or could I drive him to the airport and check him in and all the stuff?

My Parents drove down with me and then flew home a few days later. All that there is on the 2nd day is some meetings and you find out where you will be working. But that night you should definately be able to drive to the airport.

My dad drove down with me when I came two weeks ago. I originally didn't want him to come, but then I loved it. We already had annual passes, so we went to dinner in the parks, and he went and scouted out what kind of shoes I had to buy because they didn't tell me on day 2 when I found out where I'd be working. I was supposed to drive him to the airport on day 4, but I was scheduled for training all that day, so he ended up taking a Mears shuttle to the airport.
