I'm 2 days out and I have a fever

This isn't helpful now, but for future reference I was recommended taking Astragalus, a herbal supplement.

I often catch a cold when travelling. Between the airplane and theme park crowds, it just happens.

I tried taking Astragalus pre-emptively a few weeks before travelling, and then during. It works well.

This happened to me once. My sicknesses usually last one week and a few days of the next. One year it lasted for 2. Turned out I had a pneumonia.
Don't think your sickness is that extreme, but just in case, putting this info out there.

Ouch, that's never fun. I was pretty on and off one year and I learned that Doctors don't like prescribing antibiotics that often so as to prevent any future antibiotic resistance.

Went to the Emergency room and it's not a Bacteria infection, just flu-like symptoms. They gave me something called "Tamiflu" and I'm going to drink lots of water and sleep. Thanks guys!
Tamiflu helped me when I had the Flu a few months ago!...and Mucinex helped a lot too.

Sending good thoughts that you don’t have the flu!

If you quite feel like you're DYING then obviously go to the ER immediately.
Well, yeah. But if this year's flu season has taught us anything - it can sneak up and kill otherwise healthy people (granted, mostly younger and older people) surprisingly fast. It was the worst on record (the Spanish flu outbreak notwithstanding).

Good luck to you...I had something similar some weeks ago where it was something of flu like symptoms but with a mix of a bug...never got cold symptoms per se, but it had me out of work for a day or two. Had chills, sweats, loss of appetite and just felt out of it. Never quite knew what it was...

What BoarderPhreak said, PLUS, we don’t have a shortage of medical professionals in this country. See a doctor, get diagnosed, spread less germs around. :)

True. I think generally people should know when to see a doc and if they feel "unusually" sick. Never hurts to see one I was just speaking out of my experience with my doctors ;)

Like others have said, just rest, rest, rest and drinks a ton of water. Like a gallon a day. The more sleep and water you get, the quicker it will leave your system. Also, a hot toddy and some apple cider vinegar (the unfiltered kind that has a bunch of sediments in it) will do wonders.

BoarderPhreak and Hakunamatata's advice is exactly what you need. I got a nasty flu after coming back from my DW vacation last summer and just bundled up in my sheets and slept and sweated it out. I felt a million times better the next day. I knocked back a bunch of Nyquil to help me stay asleep as well while I burned the fever out of me.

Sucks you got sick before your vacation dude. Hopefully you are good by the time you get there.

Yes to the unfiltered ACV. I get Braggs brand at my local publix. It is great for so many things. I even take some to Disney with us because it will get rid of heartburn in a flash.

Feel better soon
I slept about 12 hours and every time I woke up to use bathroom I drank a lot of water. Still achey this morning but no fever.
Heres hoping day two will be the turn around day. Truly hoping you feel better soon!
