ROE is not going anywhere for at least a couple of years. They just spent a lot of money on refurbs on the Earth Globe barge and the Inferno barge. They may just upgrade in the future with effects that really work well during the World of Color show.

Exactly as I heard, speculated and hoped.:D It would work so well.

World of color?

What is the World of Color show?

That would be nice--the pyro is great in RoE, but the fountains are very dated...upgrades on that front could do wonders for the "boring" middle segment (which I think is beautifully scored).

This is World of Color:

Reflections of Earth + World of Color fountains = another successful ten or more years. Hopefully.

I plan on being there for the last show of Reflections of Earth, whenever that may be in the (hopefully distant) future. This IS Epcot for me. I hope it sees some great enhancements before it finds its way to YesterCot someday.

Yep. Put in the fountains to supplement the globe and even to project onto...And you have a nice "new" show. I would hope that they add or change up some pyro too.

This could be the new FitS for EPCOT.:lookaroun

Yep. It is a perfect synthesis of the ideals and theme there.

Wouldn't it be something to see World Showcase Lagoon drained like Paradise Pier is right now?

World of Color fountains + lasers + illuminated countries + the right pyro + inspiring, sweeping musical score + the spirit of EPCOT = one mind-blowing frakking IllumiNations that's a worthy successor to Reflections of Earth

Isn't that not possible seeing it's helped by natural water ways, and a sinkhole?

If it is...I would hope it never happens. EPCOT needs a nighttime show. I would think they would build barges for the show instead. It's more cumbersome, yes....But how else could they do it?

Agreed on the last statement though.:D Wanted: One Pavilion Chase.:D

anything's possible if you use your IMAGINATION!

But you don't think it'd be cool to see the Lagoon drained for a while to install World of Color-like effects?

 It would be weird. Can't imagine a WS without water!

How deep is it, anyway?

I seem to remember hearing 12-14 feet is the average depth, but I'm not sure. Either way, theres too much water to effectively drain WSL, not to mention it would be an aesthetic nightmare for goodness knows how long. :dazzle:

Interesting on the depth.

And yeah, It would look horrible. Now THAT would effectively "ruin" a trip. I'm thinking like TDO for that.
