Illuminations

I know someone has mentioned this before somewhere, but I can't find where, so I'll just have to ask again.... If I wanted to have dinner at the Rose & Crown, and "hang around" long enough to watch illuminations from my table, what would be the best time to have priority seating arrangements for? I made them for 7:40 but was told that there is no gaurantee that we would be seated outside. I would appreciate any tips on how to achieve my goal. (43 days to go) Thanks!

That sounds right, or try 8:00. Usually if you ask, they'll try. But at 7:40, if you don't make it, you can eat, send someone out to get a spot, and you can watch it outside.

We had a PS for 7:50 when we were there for our honeymoon last month (I believe 8:00 was the last seating when we were there). The CM that made our PS had told us there weren't any guarantees that we would sit outside, but we should ask when we go there. We checked in about 20 minutes early and asked about a table on the patio. There was a table open (but it was a little far back) so they went ahead and seated us. There were two sets of table between us and the railing to see Illuminations. Well, right after we sat down the table right along the railing opened up. So, they bumped the table in front of us up to the front seat (they had been seated right before us) and then moved us one table closer as well. I was really happy. They did everything they could to accommodate the request. And the timing was perfect. We got our dessert as Illuminations was starting. Good luck!

If you get your priority seating for anytime after 7:30 they don't rush you and you'll be there for the show. I have never been disappointed at the Rose & Crown - they bend over backwards to accomodate you. We sat inside once, right in the picture window and it was ok too. They allow you to go out on the porch if you end up inside and watch also. We do this on our first and last day of the trip.

What is the scheduled start time for illuminations when you go - is the 7.40 PS assuming an Illuminations start of 8.00 ??
