IllumiNations preshow music preference

Just something for fun. Now that EPCOT is randomly playing both ROE preshow loops, (2000-2004) (2004-2013), which do you prefer? Or, are you happy they are mixing it up?

Further, I've got Busindre Reel on my phone just in the event they are running the earlier loop as I would miss that one.

I am partial to the post 2004 loop, but I do love many of the tracks of the original I don't like how they play Spirit of the West though. I just don't think it fits the mood that the other tracks produce.

Busindre Reel, Montezuma, Tula, Flute Battle, Imeland, Sabah Habas Mustapha, Falling through a Cloud... All amazing pieces of music.

They're all great! It's awesome how something that isn't normally given a lot of thought can really set the mood...

I like both...but I still really like the original. That was the period when I was travelling to WDW 2-3 times per year, so many many trips to Epcot for Illuminations. I guess it's just the one I associate with Illuminations.

But yeah, I like both. I am resigned to being no help at all in this debate...

I honestly couldn't tell you the difference. Going with little kids it's just background noise to me. I hope someday to be able to obsess over the nuance of stuff like this. For now I'll just enjoy the few details I'm able to absorb.

I like them both, the original loop has a more traditional, laid back sound and the 2004 loop has this street party / dance / modern feel to it, but I've always been impressed with how perfect the songs for both are.
