Illuminations - park lighting on

I saw Illuminations earlier this year for the first time in five years. What I noticed different was all the park lighting on the promenade stayed on. Was this an accident or are they actually leaving that all on now for safety reasons?


I did notice they are using the old preshow music by Cusco which I had not heard since July 3rd of 2004. It was neat to hear Montezuma and other songs they used to play again.

The preshow is mixed up, often on the night.

The lighting sounds like a fault. As said above the show often has things not go quite to plan. Some small, some huge.

Anyone know anything new about Illuminations right now? Is the promenade lighting dimming during the show? Last time I was there a year ago it did not. Also, when I was there, they were playing old Preshow Music that I haven't heard since July of 2004. Montezuma by Cusco, etc. Can anyone else confirm?
