There isn't a regularly scheduled one that the general public can book like the one in Magic Kingdom.

However, you can book a private group event which includes a dessert party for Illuminations. We went to one with WDWCelebrations for Epcot's 30th, and it was a fun event. (Although pricey... I can't imagine what the cost per person would be for a family/small group to do it). Outside of something like that, you would have to be part of a group (I've often seen wedding parties, convention groups, etc) to do it.

I'm pretty sure that they offer one every now and again. For some reason I was thinking I saw one offered not to long ago. Found the one that I thought I had seen. It is Oct. 2nd, but is an exclusive one for members of the Disney Food Blog. Check out this website http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2013/...uminations-dessert-party-tickets-on-sale-now/
I think if you just join/follow the Disney Food Blog you should be able to purchase tickets to it, but not 100% sure.

Got to go to one last January (2012) when we were there for a convention, our buying group had scheduled a private party. The seating was over by France and the view was incredible. The desserts were ok, nothing out of this world, but best view of Illuminations that I have ever had!

You can book a private event through Disney's Catered Events for an IlkumiNations dessert party. There are several locations to choose from, and they all have different capacity requirements and venue rental fees (plus the costs of food, beverage and setup). The smallest location I can think of is in the Japan pavilion. You stand on the area of the Pagoda where the Taiko drummers perform. It's open for parties of ten or fewer, and the venue rental fee is $285. You can probably figure on another $25-30 pp for food and beverage.

Hi, I just called the Disney Catered Events and they told me that I could only make a Private Dessert Party if I'm booked in one of the Resorts, is that correct? We are in a party pf 20 and we would really want to see illuminations in one of the privileged areas... Does anyone know another way to do it?? Tnks

That is correct. They only assign you a catering manager after they know which resort you're staying at. Your catering manager will be based at that resort too. They also tell you that at least 50% of the guests at the party have to be staying on property the night of the event, but I've been told that nobody ever really verifies that part.

what about the fireworks at MK? Is it possible to get a Private party in a especial place to watch the fireworks? Thanks!

The Magic Kingdom has the public party at Tomorrowland Terrace. There are also a couple locations at the Grand Floridian marina where you can host a private event, but you have to pay extra to have the music piped in. You'd have to book those through Disney's Catered Events too, and I think you'd probably have to be staying on property for that as well.
