Illuminations and the rain

Do they still have the Illuminations even if it's raining? Seeing that from a window booth at La Hacienda is why I made that ADR. If they're not going to show it then I'd rather have a manager cancel it.

Awesome, thanks!

The kids were bummed because they wanted to do tonight's Halloween party, glad that didn't happen.

The show must go on! When I was there, they never once cancelled the show. It was delayed once by about fifteen minutes for some technical issue, but they always go off! And if there is a delay, it'll be announced over loudspeakers, so you'll know.

(Sorry and by "when I was there" I meant when I worked there last year!)

I've seen illumination in the rain many times. Magic kingdom delayed their fireworks in a monsoon like lightening storm...I'm sure Illuminations was delayed in that too.

In January it was torrential down pours and it was cancelled...or so I thought the second we left the park and hopped on the bus, guess what started late..

Being from Southern California, it was mind boggling how little rain effects things at WDW- we were there for two weeks and saw a couple of heavy downpours like you almost never see in the L.A. area and the only thing that closed was Test Track at Epcot. All the shows went on as usual and even crowds stayed the same. My former roommate at U.C.L.A. used to skip class and stay in the dorms when it rained because she didn't want to get wet and she freaked out when I texted her videos of families with kids running barefoot in puddles during a downpour at Epcot. At DLR, any rain cancels fireworks and all parades and means all the rides even Toy-Story-Mania, are a walk-on unless it's during the week of Christmas.

We were in MK last night during that rain storm @draybook mentioned. It rained, no...it down poured from 4:00 until a little after 8:00. The Halloween party was dead until the rain stopped. We were drenched by the end of the evening. But we got to ride just about everything with absolutely no waiting. We thought about going back to the room, but since we were already wet, we just stuck it out. Ended up having a blast.

Thanks to the pouring rain the Friday before Labor Day we snagged a great viewing spot for IllumiNations - just about everyone was leaving the park. So neither rain, nor sleet nor snow...
