Looks pretty thrilling. I have never been on a slide before where the floor drops out on you. I cant wait to see some concept art on this and know where its going in the park. I hear that construction is starting this week on it. Cant wait to try it out

That's nothing. Try the Scorpion's Tail at Noah's Ark in Wisconsin Dells...that thing is Ten stories tall and actually inclines to an almost vertical position in the loop...it scared the crap out of me!

I was there this past summer and the wave pool to the right next to the kids play area was closed off. there was signs saying "coming 2014" etc.

I was there just not to long ago and it was open again. I beleive it was closed for refurbishment and maint. Good eye though and thanks for the info.

This will be to the right of the wave pool/left of the 5 and under kiddie play area.

So today more details were released on this thrilling new addition to Aquatica. The new sldie will open on May 9.

That's not concept art. It's a marketing piece to promote the idea they're trying to convey. Don't expect the completed slide complex to look like that. Expect an Erector Set-style platform with fiberglass tubes coming down from it like the drawing in the last video posted above. I do love that drawing comparing the slides to cliff diving, though, and I think it's great marketing.
