This seems to tie in with the rumors of the return of the backstage tour ride.

Well it seems Im a little behind on my Walt Disney World info. Gonna be there in 4 days, havent been there in about 3 years(usually every year) so bear with me on this question....they closed the backstage tour ride???

The backlot tour (ride) still exists... it's not much anymore, but its still there nonetheless. The backstage pass (walk-through) attraction is currently closed... there are rumors it may reopen later this year to display sets and props from the upcoming Narnia film(s).

I would think that the Narnia sets would be displayed the same as the Haunted Mansion sets were displayed....in the building next to One Man's Dream.

There is no purpose in reopening the backstage magic tour since 2/3's of the tour are used for One Man's Dream and Millionaire

We can only hope that they would consider doing something with it, such as including the mcuh anticipated ride through of Journey to the Center of the Earth where the trams actually went through the ground and encountered the giant worm from the center of the earth. If you have no clue what I am talking about, check it out on Jim Hill Media.

I used to look forward to Disney movies, but that died a long time ago.

I just had to agree with this sentiment.
Once upon a time I looked forward every year to the latest Disney animated films, whereas at this stage I've lost almost all interest. Chicken Little might be ok, but I'm not especially looking forward to it and am honestly a little weary of hip and 'witty' computer animated features. I'll also have to be honest and say that I only just watched Brother Bear at the end of last year... on cable and in Spanish in a hotel room in the jungles of Peru!
They've really lost me and I don't see anything in the pipeline that seems particularly promising. Pixar is the new Disney.

Everybody shut up about Iger.

He's not the savior, all these high-up executives are the same--selfish and money-driven. He doesn't give a damn about the "magic of Disney", he just wants to make money.

Bad outlook, man. He seems to be doing very well and whether or not he is greedy, he is doing something right, and thats what counts.

And who cares? :veryconfu
In order for him to make money he needs to have an attractive product. To do that is to improve the Magic, whether it be the parks, animation, movies, TV. What difference does his motive make so long as things improve for us? :D

You didn't just tell everyone on this thread to shut up, did you? No, I'm sure that's not what you meant. After all, no one would really ask the participants of a discussion forum to stop discussing.

Yes, I bet it was just a misunderstanding. ;)

Funny! :) I agree on the matter that as longer as we get benefits, who cares what his motives are, if he plans to bring back every attraction we ever loved, than forget if he thinks he'll make a lot of money, we get back from his "supposed" greediness...
