To be fair, the indication that Star Wars will be added to the parks doesn't necessarily mean we'll see anything at WDW -- there's already been some rumblings that they are looking moreso at China for addition.
Quite true, but the point still stands.

Is this because they don't want to make the capital investments in WDW or is there something about the Star Wars brand they don't believe in enough to bring to the parks in a big way like as a DHS expansion? Way back when before Avatar was announced and the fan community was asking for the answer to Potter everyone was saying how they'd love a Star Wars expansion. Now they don't even have to pay Lucas royalities, and it's still off the table? I just don't get it.

...Maybe we'll at least get the Cantina bar someday?

NextGen! I am so super excited that I now have to plan even what rides I'm going to ride months in advance! I am so super-dee-duper excited. There is nothing in the world like the feeling that having to micromanage your vacation gives you! Golly gee, wait til I tell the kids! I know this is what is going to really get them excited too!

...

I don't get it. You don't have to plan anything.

I do not believe anything an executive says regarding the future, it's not like there going to publicly say "hey there's going to be a DHS expansion but we haven't announced it so don't tell anyone."

It's optional, sure, but I have a feeling it's going to turn into it being "optional" the way it's optional to schedule dining reservations 6 months in advance. And you do have to plan... You have to choose which rides you want to ride at which times of day and on what date. At least thats what i gathered from the people who participated in the test. Sounds super fun to me to plan out which rides I want to ride months in advance.

I don't why this a topic for WDW. If Star Wars attractions are considered for DHS, it would be under Iger's successor at the earliest. I have a hard time to see American Idol Experience being closed before 2015. The American Idol Experience space and the Sounds Dangerous space can be used for a ride.

Disneyland Paris really needs an update for Star Tours since there is no announcements at this time to bring over Star Tours: The adventure continues over there. The places where more Star Wars in parks would be Shanghai Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland and Disneyland Park in Paris.
