If your family could only eat at 3 sit-downs

1. OK, not sure if you want to go signature, but DD5's fave meal of her two trips to WDW has been California Grill. Sure, I timed it with Wishes, but she loved the views up there and loved how she was treated by our server.

2. Beyond that, since young kids are involved there should be at least one character meal. Some of that depends on preferences. In our case, DD3 is a big Pooh fan so 1900 PF Breakfast or Crystal Palace are musts for us. DD5 is more of a princess or Minnie girl...so, CRT, Akershus, Chef Mickey's or Cape May need to factor into the mix.

3. I've done Biergarten and Coral Reef, but we have enough local options to duplicate these experiences. The same holds true for Teppan Edo. In light of this, we've tried Whispering Canyon and 'Ohana dinner with them...but it didn't do much for either one. So, this time our fun or neat atmosphere dining includes Sanaa and 50s PT. Sci Fi is another that would fit into this type IMO.

We have DS8, DD7, & DS5....they fell in love with the Sci-Fi, Restaurant Marrakesh, and Biergarten. Of course anything with a character was also a hit! Just remember anywhere you go the kids menu will take care of them.

1. Tusker House for breakfast or lunch. It's a character meal, and similar enough to Boma that I'd swap Boma for this.
2. You choice (whatever cuisine the adults like the most) in World Showcase
3. It's a toss up between 'Ohana (cute kid parade), WCC (cute kid parade with stick ponies), and Biergarten (beer for grown-ups, dancing for all!) I'd pick the one that fits into your touring plan the best.

Let us know what you decide!

If your family doesn't typically go to hibachi restaurants, the "show" of preparing your meals at Teppan Edo might keep the kids entertained (and you won't have to get up and go back and forth to a buffet).

My kids are a little older, 11, 14 & 19, but they will tell you flat out that they love 50's Prime Time Cafe, Kona Cafe, Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace & Ohana the best out of all of the places to eat there.

My favorite is Kona Cafe. :slurp:
I would suggest Sci-Fi or San Angel for children! Boma is a must for everyone.

I didn't see this in your post, but have the toddlers ever seen giant characters whose faces they couldn't see before? If not, don't be surprised if they are shy, or even afraid, around them. I know lots of people are recommending character meals because of the children, but I would steer toward the characters whose human faces you can see, like Princesses, Mary Poppins, Alice. Maybe 1900 Park Fair? And then a "fun" place like Whispering Canyon or Sci-Fi.
