IF & ONLY IF you experienced BOTH the (Diamond/Golden) Horseshoe Revue
AND
the Hoop Dee Doo musical show at Fort Wilderness,
which show did you like more?
How did the shows compare & contrast?
(I loved the Horseshoe Revues & am wondering if the Hoop Dee Doo would be worthwhile.)

I went to both back in the mid 90s when I was 8-9 years old. Diamond Horseshoe was nice if you wanted just a sampling of a show because you can walk in and not feel obligated to stay for the whole thing if you wanted to do more stuff in the parks. Hoop Dee Doo was more fun for me because of the high energy, low brow humor, and what kid doesn't love eating BBQ and strawberry shortcake while playing the washboard at dinner? 😄

We have done both. The HDD is worth going to see. It is corny fun with singing and dancing and family entertainment. The food is plenty and well done.
If I were to choose between the two however I’d say the Horseshoe Review was more entertaining with a broader variety of entertainment. It was more of a typical show you’d expect to see in the old frontier saloon. More western fare which fit into Frontierland.
We still look forward to attending the HDD show and it’s worth the cost of the tickets.

Thanks, Jiminy! I'll check out HDD.

HDD is great! Corny but fun...and the food is yum. Even teens who at the beginning of the show had eyes rolling back into their heads from the "uncool"ness of it, were having fun by the end - although they'd never admit it.

Well, I'm biased because ... I was chosen out of the audience to play "Davy Crockett's Ghost" on stage in HDD, complete with dressing up in pink tutu, and dancing. But I also think the HDD food was better, and the experience of being in Ft. Wilderness, with all the build-up of going to Pioneer Hall, was better than just dipping into the Golden Horseshoe without any break from the rest of Frontierland, heightened the experience.
