I am trying to secure my reservations for our trip in September. I got a late start on this and my restaurant and meal time choices are extremely limited. Having never eaten at these restaurants before, I'm having a really hard time chosing between:

Teppan Edo or Garden Grill

and between

Tutto Italia or Via Napoli

Appreciate any input!

Never eaten at Teppan Edo but I do like the Garden Grill. The characters are fun and the food has been good the last few times we have been there.

I prefer Via Napoli over Tutto Italia. I really enjoyed Via Napoli last time I was there (loved the pizza), but the last time I ate at Tutto it was just ok.

Hope you have a great trip. September is my favorite time to go!

I've heard good things about Via Napoli.

To me, Teppan Edo and Garden Grill are such different experiences there's no overlap. It seems to me based on what you're looking for, one would clearly win out over the other. Since I have young kids and a Benni Hanna's nearby, Garden Grill wins.

:xmas:We like the Garden Grill, the all you can eat family style is fun and relaxed, and the catfish is fantastic, if you like catfish. Thtto Italia has some of the best Italian bar none, but take a shot at any of them and you won't be disappointed.

Excellent Point! We are taking our kids, 4 & 8, for their first visit. Your point seals the deal for me. To me, WDW is about unique and extraordinary experiences, not necessarily for gourmet meals. We too have a Teppan style Japanese restaurant at home. Garden Grill it is! :D

I've never eaten at Via Napoli, but I have eaten at Naples in Disneyland's Downtown Disney, and the menus are very similar (they are owned and operated by the same company). It was okay. Nothing special and it definitely wasn't the most amazing pizza I've ever had. If there was a similar pizzeria near my home, I'd still go elsewhere for my pizza.

That being said, it was leaps and bounds ahead of Tutto Italia, which is one of the worst Italian meals I've ever had when you factor in the quality you get for the prices. Given the choice between the two, I'd go with Via Napoli (but, just for argument's sake, I'd much rather walk out the International Gateway and go to Il Mulino at the Swan for Italian).

Going based on food quality reviews...Teppan Edo usually gets higher marks for food vs Garden Grill (at least that's what it looks like to me). Granted, Garden Grill gives you good character meal fun. As for Tutto vs Via Napoli, I've never eaten at either one; however, the reviews for Tutto don't put in my plans anytime soon- so I'd probably go for VIa Napoli.

Teppan Edo is one of our favorites at Epcot but... the chef's interaction with those at the table completes the dining experience. We have Via Napoli on our list to try in July. We're hoping it is good!

With kids, you are right to choose Garden Grill. We've been to both and kids do not enjoy Teppan Edo as much, although I think the food is somewhat better there (i.e. more refined).
