If you do not think Universal smelled blood in the water before...

Meh - Comcast just likes making jabs like this to off ABC. Everyone knows Comcast's money comes from NBC, just like Disney's is ABC. It's like watching brothers.

Comcast tried to buy Disney. They failed. So they became Comcast/Universal/NBC. Now they own theme parks, but they're not Disney parks. Of course they want to grow their market share and steal business from Disney.

Correct. The point of me posting this is that Comcast is talking a big game and actually backing it up. (Adding 10,000+ rooms)

I have to go read it again. Did they say they were adding 10k rooms, or they thought there was market for them to add 10k rooms?

What Comcast fails to understand is that most (if not the overwhelming majority of visitors) to Orlando plan a Disney vacation and add Universal to their plans. While US is a wonderful resort they still carry a large share of locals whereas disney carries both national and international visitors. With that said -I do like competition.

Why do you think Comcast "fails to understand" your point, if indeed it is true. Disney is basically shooting themselves in the foot right now with the MM+ fiasco, and it looks like Universal is going to be taking more days away from a very stagnant set of properties.

Oh, and there's always that third park plan that Universal may still be developing.

This is excellent thinking from 1997. Or even 2008. This is incorrect in 2014.
