If you could, what unrealized attraction would you bring into reality?

Hello everyone. So I’ve been binging WDW videoes recently, (because I won’t be able to return for a few more years, sadly) and I’ve come across a few videoes listing some really interesting unrealized ride attractions. An “unrealized” attraction is an attraction that was developed conceptually and planned to be put into the park, (they could even have started building it) but was never finished due to varying different reasons. (Lands can be included here too) So this question I’m asking is simple: What attraction/land that was never built would you bring to life if you could?

Me personally, I would make the Mt. Fuji roller coaster in the Japan pavilion at the World Showcase. This is my pick for a variety of reasons.
#1: It would add a new E-Ticket to the park severely lacking in that department.
2: It would be a new thrill ride (which I love) and a big crowd magnet.
3: I love the Japan pavilion and seeing it finally get a ride would make me very happy.
4: Who doesn’t want another mountain?
5: The concept is just so intriguing to me, and it would be cool to see what kind of story the Imagineers would come up with.

That’s just my answer and it’s reasoning, let me hear yours!

I totally agree about the new E-Ticket/Thrill Ride! I would love to see some new and exhilarating thrill! I would like to see that rumored Monsters Inc ride come to life but in all new building and not take over Rockin.

For actual unrealized attractions:
Alantean Encounter!
- cool e-ticket
- brings more to tomorrowland
- has a fun treasure quest
- monsters
- alien encounter spiritual successor
- very loose connection to alantis movie so the IP doesn't become too dated
- 2000 leagues spirtual successor (both are about going to alantis, both end in a monster attack)
- true competition for the universal studios e-ticket
Just perfect! Well except for maybe the water going inside the sub part, that might be too much.

For "unrealized" projects (projects that did happen, but ended up worst than they were supposed too)
1. Journey into your imagination
- original idea involved messing with your mind, if done well, that sounds fantastic
- flubber ride sounds fun
- even the rumored, but possibly not real indoor rollercoaster sounds cooler and better
- entering a child's imagination sounds whimsical and fun
- celebrity imagination less so, but it wouldn't have been YOUR imagination
2. Superstar Limo
- an actual chase through hollywood sounds great, and a nice spiritual successor to mr. toad. Though I think the idea was partially reused for Radiator Springs, so I can't be too angry about it.
3. Rocket Rods
- test track, but all outside, in tomorrowland. Just think about it. Plus those neon rocket rods would have brought so much life and color to tomorrowland.

The Africa Pavilion in EPCOT. It looked so amazing. Or the Germany boat ride. Or a full Muppet land in MGM/HS.

Now I'm depressed.

Hi guys! This is my first post... have been a lurker for the past couple of months.

My ideas would be the earth drilling machine ride for the Land pavilion (would've been similar to Journey to the center of the earth), the Mt Fuji roller coaster at the Japan pavilion and the boat ride at the germany pavilion. 😀😊

I don’t see how Disney could make a new mountain ride that’s vastly different than all the other mountains.

On the other hand, Kodak is no longer around to veto this.

Id like to see a ride similar to Spaceship Earth but instead show audio animatronic scenes about Walt Disney's life. Each scene would be of Walt, from childhood to his adult years and successes. It could be an omnimover ride like Haunted Mansion or a water ride like Living with the Land. I enjoyed the One Mans Dream attraction at Hollywood Studios and the film about Walt was great but I feel a moving attraction would be more entertaining and more personal.

  • (Nickname for Richard) Tracey's Crime Stoppers - Imagine Indiana Jones Adventure meets the Gangster scene in GMR. So awesome, even without the IP
  • Western River Expedition - Imagine the ideas of Pirates & Big Thunder mixed with the grandeur of the Cars Land mountain range.
  • Rhine River Cruise - Maelstrom meets Reflections of China
  • Russia Pavilion - Nutcracker ballet show, Vodka bar, stroganoff, Saint Basil's Cathedral. Controversial, but lots of history, architecture, etc.

Western River Expedition will always be the biggest loss for me. I mean, the thing was pretty much ready to go into production and, from everything I've seen, looks like it would have been a top-notch attraction designed by one of the all-time great animators and Imagineers. I love Pirates (even in its abbreviated form), but what I wouldn't give for another real E-Ticket from a time when the company cared about making attractions for the sake of creation, rather than monetization.
