If you could show Walt ONE Disney movie made after his death...?

This is an idea I've been playing with in my head...

Imagine you get the unique opportunity to bring Walt back for ONE afternoon, to show him one of the films his animation company produced after his passing....which film would you show him?

Why choose that film?

What do you think his reaction would be?

What do you you think he would think of it?

Beauty and the Beast. A, he tried cracking the story for many years. I think he would be proud to see the company finally succeeded. B, breathtaking animation. It shows CAPS technology in full force and character animation at its finest (Mrs. Potts being the standout character IMO). C, I think that (Frozen aside) this is probably the only Disney movie that doesn't have a slight case of schizophrenia and hopes the audience, kids and adults alike, will just go along with a strong story. Sidekicks aren't overbearing or childish in behavior and the protagonists aren't dumbed down even slightly for the kids.

I'd show him Beauty and the Beast, although I disagree with DisneyFan2000 that the character animation in it is "at its finest". The animation in BatB is really rushed-looking and, in some cases, subpar. But then the animators at Disney were being pressured by the CEOs running the place; they comment on that fact on the BatB DVD. Even during its Silver Age, Disney was not the same place it was under Walt. Sometimes I wonder what BatB would look like had it been animated by the Nine Old Men. Sigh...

Probably Fantasia 2000. I think he would be happy (and may very well be) that his nephew did it and opened it on January 1, 2000. He may also want to see Destino (one he wanted made).

For the more commercial ones, I would say Lion King and Beauty and the Beast for sure. Also probably Toy Story and Mickey's Christmas Carol (on which Lohn Lasseter cut his teeth, and which featured his beloved Mickey Mouse in a classic and classy role).

I think, though, the first thing he would talk about would be EPCOT.

Personally, I would be interested to hear his thoughts on either tangled or frozen...considering the work he did to advance the art of animating (multiplane camera, color, sound, ect) I think he would be fascinated with 3d animation.

Second choices would be Beauty and the Beast (as mentioned earlier he tried for years to crack that story) or maybe Jungle Book (the last feature he had a hand in, but never saw completed.

Of course if I was in a sadistic mood, I'd show him Cinerella 3: A twist in time. But that's just cruel :)

No, cruel would be showing him Cinderella 2!
I vote anything from the renaissance. Or Tangled.

I wasn't a fan of EITHER of the sequels...but at least "Dreams come True" didn't have the gall to try to say "remember the story you grew up with? Well, now it never happened."
