If you could have an Imagineer theme your house...

Ok, I know I'm ressurecting an old thread, but I just wanted to let you all know something.

For the last 10 years that I've lived in my home, the walls in my room have always been blank. White. EMPTY.

As some of you out there who know me and what I do might imagine, that just doesn't sit with me. I've ben trying to convince my parents for a while to let me paint my walls. The finally caved :king: :D .

Anyway, now that I have had some time to think about it, I don't want to paint my walls just one color anymore, so, I'm painting my walls and ceiling to look like, what else, Disneyland :D :D :D .

I'm going to have a Fantasyland/Frontierland wall, a Tomorrowland wall, a Mainstreet U.S.A which I may also paint DCA in the corner of the wall, and a Adventureland/New Orleans Square/ Critter Country wall. When you stand in the Hallway, my door will act as the bridge under the MainStreet Train station (possibly with a model of the station above it), and when you walk through, you will see a Model of the castle on my dresser(maybe 2: One that I'm Making and the other being the WDW Monorail toy Playset one; I'm leaning more towards my model). I'd paint the castle on the wall, but my window is right there, so there's no whenere for it to go :( . Anyway, Next to the Castle Model on the right will be the Matterhorn (Already drawn on the wall in Pencil). This wall is the wall parallel to the wall with my door. Also on the Dresser is my Mad Tea Party and Dumbo Monorail Toys, along with some models I might be building. I hope to possibly build my own Mr Toad's Wild ride Car out of plywood which would be a loveseat, possibly for one (is that an oxymoron?), maybe 2 if i have the room which I think I do. Above the window I'm painting Toontown, and maybe building models of Mickey and Minnies Houses to make it a little more Dimensional. To the left of the castle I'm going to paint Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, The Mark twain, The Columbia and Tom Sawyers Island, namely the Fnatasmic Stage. The wall to the right when you walk in will be the Tomorrowland wall, which is whene my bed is (Bunkbed to be specific), and my bed is becoming a Submarine Voyage themed bed, with fish hanging down from the top bunk, bubbles, a sea creature painted on the wall (The one from the ride) along with a sub and fish. I also have my model sub that I made hanging from the top bunk. A thick sheet of blue tinsel-like icicle things hang down covering the actual bed, acting as the waterfall over the caverns. There is a row of blue Icicle lights strung up behind it to give it an extra shimmery look, as well as to add a blue, underwater-like hue to everything in my bunk. I plan to build my own model Peoplemover, track and all, that will run around my bed and through a few models of Tomorrowland Buildings, being powered by a Radio Shack "Zip Zap" car in the first car. I also hope to paint the "Beyond the Greatest star of all Lies our Future" Mural on my wall as well. I have a desk against that wall that the Peoplemover track, my Lava Lanp, and my computer will be on as well as a few other models, such as the House Of the Future Model I built/am building, a Diorama of the Extinct Adventure Thru Inner Space "Back On Visual" scene, my proposed Monster's Inc. Attraction Facade model, and My Monorail Toy Astro Orbitor. My toy Monorail Track will be attached to the wall and the ceiling, much like what this guy did . It will run through both the Contemporary resort Monorail Accessory and Spaceship Earth Acessory I have. I have both red and Blue Christmas Lights strung up along my Bunkbed, along with a string of Blue Ropelights. The wall on your left when you walk in, which is parallel to the Tomorrowland wall, will be the Adventureland/New Orleans Square/Critter Country wall. On the far left of that wall, I'm painting the Elephant bath scene of the Jungle Cruise with a Jungle Cruise Boat in the Foreground (already drawn) along with the Tiki Room in the distance Due to Lack of Space, and if I can accuire one of those animatronic Parrots that repeats whatever you say, I'm going to redress it to look like Jose, the now-defunct Tiki Room Barker Bird. To the Right of the Jungle Cruise scene I'm not sure exactly what I'm painting there, as the Pirates of the Caribbean Entrance isn't that spectacular, so I might paint the Town on Fire Scene or the Auction scene, I'm not really sure what at this time. Anyway, next to that I'm painting the Haunted Mansion, or maybe a Model, depending on what kind of mood I'm in when I get to that point. Right now, I'm leaning towards Painting it. Anyway, On my Sliding closet doors, I'll be painting Splash Mountain and Possibly Both The Country Bear Jamboree and Winnie the Pooh, I Might build models so I can make Splash Mountain Bigger, but I'll be using both because I frankly hold no grudges against Disneyland's Pooh other than that he killed the Bears, but either way I'll be incorperating both of them since I find them both to be great attractions. The wall with my door, which is parallel to the Fantasyland/Frontierland/Toontown wall, will be the Main Street U.S.A/(possibly)DCA wall. The back of my door will be painted to look like the entrance to the Empourium, and next to that will be the Crystal Arcade, complete with a light up sign that I made. I'm thinking of Painting a Few of the Main Street Electrical Parade Floats Moving Down Mainstreet with Glow in the Dark paint and such. There will be other things on that wall that i just haven't come up with yet, but there is a space there that I don't want. The main reasons I'm Thinking of painting DCA at all is because the foor of my bed is up against that wall so there's about 3 feet to the ceiling, and having Main Street U.S.A just shrink like that seems quite odd, and I'm sure I'll have no problem fitting all the highlights of that Park in that 4 x3 foot space  . Also, I built a model of their Tower of Terror that I'm really proud of that I want to keep out, but I want it to fit in with my room. I also want to build one of Muppet Vision 3D, which would also require DCA. The ceiling will be painted like the night sky with glow in the dark painted fireworks on the ceiling and ceiling fan. Oh, before I forget, I wanted to add a little touch that Walt Himself personally requested from his Disneyland: My whole room will be encircled by aa working HO scale Disneyland Railroad Train :D.

So whaddya think?

Ofcourse, if you want, I'll post pictures of my progress.

Ok, thanks!

Man this all sounds, like so much fun!

For my Parnets house, cuase I don't own my own home (so I have to stay some what in there taste right?) :lookaroun

Exterior- Beach and Yacht Club
Foyer- Main Street USA
Kitchen- Spoodles
Dinning room- Mama Melrose
Living Room- Boardwalk Lobby (competle with the chocolate park for christmas!)
Family room- Asia from Animal Kingdom
(there that should work for them, now the upstairs)

Parents room- Cross of Boardwalk in and Port Orleans riverside mantion
My room- (the best one of all) themed like the World of Disney store (wait it already is) umm I would want a mix of things for my room, One wall with a gaint mural of the parks, the the rest Muppets and other disney characters. (Deffenetnty some of the posters from the Que Line for Mickey's Phillharmagic

My moms office- ( I know its not a place in any of the parks) but Villanisses. Malifiacent and ursala, and the Evil Queen. I actually planed this room out for her when she took it over for her office. Olive green walls with Bight Purple accents, and black trim and wood work. then Prints of the Ladys on the walls. man it would have looked cool.

then the Guest room- Disney Crusie line.

And the Basment (here all my friends and I hang when my room explods with all the clothes and what not) DTD West Side.

As for the back Yard. I would want the topiaries from around the parks. (more spassificly, Sorcerrer Mickey, Belle, Minnie, Snow white, and Simba.) and my mom wants a gazzebo, so I'd have them through hidden mickey's all over that. and pritty flowers, and trees. I want it to be like a minnie botanical gardens, but still have grass to be able to use the back yard for rectration.

Wow thats alot of demands. and i didn't even do the bathrooms.:veryconfu Oh Well

I'd want a house thats very subtle..

In my dining room, I'd want everything to be from the World Showcase... (Thanks to SirNim's desk area for inspiration ;))

In my living room, I would theme it like Disney's Hilton Head resort (I have a massive piece of art hanging over my fireplace.. I'll post a picture sometime...).. Its the one of the pier thats in the resorts lobby, and in the rooms.. If you didn't know what it was, you would never know it was Disney related...

My Kitchen? Probably a few things from Prime Time Cafe would go well there.. But, not too much.. Remember- I want to keep my house as normal as possible ;)

For my office, I would hang framed and matted black and white pictures of Walt... I seem to remember a set of Disney office supplies from the Disney magazine that might fit well there... And, I'd probably want someplace in the room the wooden Mickey figure in Disney's Hilton Head resort... (I'll post pictures of that, too) But, I don't want to make things too Disney-ish, so maybe not...

My bedroom would look exactly like a All Star Movies guest room... :lookaroun... Really, though.. probably nothing Disney-ish here...

The basement would be where I'd put the most Disney stuff... Half would be a theater just like the one in Innoventions (the one sponsered by the lighting company, that shows the Ebret and Roper film).. the other half would have framed, old Disney movie posters around it (like the outside of a cinema or something), and have a ton of Disney 'artifacts'.. I would have the glass dome with the rose in it from Beauty in the Beast, the sorcerers hat that Mickey wears along with the book, etc...

I think I would make my house Tower of Terror on the outside and most of the inside. There would be some hints of HM in there too, like that never ending hallway. Maybe even a clock that goes up to the number 13. The dining room will look like the ballroom (complete with the ghosts), and people will sleep in the 5th dimension, floating.

And best of all, a gift shop at the exit.

This thread was cool enough to bump. This would be so cool. I'd make my house a combination of the Haunted Mansion set in an Adventureland landscape. :D

Had never seen this thread before. I agree.

While I love HM, I don't want to live in it. (would kinda spoil the uniqueness)

I also think Adventureland theme would be really cool. Can I also have Swiss Family treehouse in my backyard? :sohappy:

I want the exterior of my house to be like the Grand Floridian.

Entryway like the Haunted Mansion (form the movie, before it went bad)

Kitchen like the 50's Prime Time Cafe

Dining room like the good Haunted Mansion

Family Room like Animal Kingdom Lodge lobby

Living Room like Port Orleans (only because I LOVE that resort)

Laundry room, well I'll have the Imagineer do whatever he wants with Disney in there.

Office themed to Walt's office

Bathrooms all have a nautical theme, one of BB, TL, and the best resort pools (we have 4 full baths)

Basement themed to the Magic of Disney Animation when animators still had a job

Recreational room like Mission:Space

Garage like Test Track

Master Bedroom like the Roy Disney suite at the GF (complete with butler)

Other 4 bedrooms: Tower of Terror
Space Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain
Splash Mountain

(IF we do get our indoor pool, I'd want it themed to 20K with a touch of the Disney Magic/Wonder with it.)

I think I'm still missing several rooms in my house but that's all I can think of right now.

ok so where did you say you lived again :D
