If you could go to WDW alone what would you do that you could not do when you go with someone else?

I will start this.

1.I would go and sit around the hotel pool. Husband hates to do this
2. go shopping and pick up anything my little heart desires.
3. Play golf. Husband also does not like this.

anyone else

Question: Do you mean alone as in

a) "travelling with no one else", or do you mean
b) "like when Cartman bought the amusement park so there would never be a line?"

If b), EVERYTHING. if a) uh-h-h, NEARLY EVERYTHING.

I always do as much as possible when I arrive. I tend to be in "commando" mode when I'm travelling alone, so I'll bypass things I don't really want to see. Fortunately, the only real difference for me is the speed at which we walk.

I do go to the parks alone frequently, not staying in a hotel here however. I ride some of the stuff the people I go with aren't interested in... the train, the carousel, the tiki room, Spaceship Earth. I like it because I can do anything I want and not have to worry about others.
If I were to be here at one of the resorts alone, I would swim alot and shop alot more than usual.

I almost always go alone and I dont' stay at any of the hotels either as it's only about an hour drive for me. The great advantage to going alone is you can see what you want, when you want. You don't have to worry about anyone whining they're hungry or tired or don't want to go on a particular ride or see a certain show. You can eat when you want, rest when you want... get there and leave when you want. I usually prefer going alone than with others.

If I was to go alone, I would probably just walk around and eat all day... since that is my favorite thing to do there. I'd be the guy with the dole whip in his left hand... and the turkey leg in my right... making his way over to the churro stand :slurp:

.... Even tho I already do that when i'm not alone

I would definetly do the following

1.) Drink around the Worlds (Maybe not them all because i don't want to look like the town drunk)
2.) Golf a couple rounds
3.) Ride all of the rides I havn't been on before

and finally.......
4.) Purchase a sequenced Rhinestone Jumpsuit with a cape, oversized wig, blue suede shoes, eat fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches and get pictures with all the characters.:king:

That would be about it...

Simply. Everything you would do when you were with anyone else.

There is nothing you can't do by yourself. Go out and have fun! I do!

I always go alone and enjoy it! I can go at my own pace - I can do and ride everything or do nothing but stroll around the parks, which I like just as much. I can eat whatever whenever. I can just waste a day sleeping or hanging out at the hotel (I try to always stay on property even if I only live 3 hours away). And I don't have to feel like I've spoiled someone else's vacation when I don't feel like doing something.

Alone? Hmmmmmmm lets see....

Eat in all the places I want to and nobody else does.
Meet up with all the crazies who live down there and have a fun time. (you know who you are)
See the shows I want to.
SHOP, SHOP, SHOP! (he still gets to pay the bill, right?)

I like the way you think!

I would probably spend lots of time in the shops since my boyfriend can't usually stand more than 5 minutes in a store. I would see the shows that no one else likes to see, spend hours in the One Man's Dream exhibit and take every tour I could get my hands on since my family and boyfriend don't appreciate the behind-scenes history of Disney like I do.

If I could go to the parks alone, I would walk fast like I tend to do (but have to wait ahead for the slow people lol), jump in the singles line for anything I can and ride everything when I want and ride what I want. We didn't go to Animal Kingdom our past trip and me being the big animal nut that I am, I was disappointed. If I was by myself I could have gone to AK and looked at the animals and rode Kilo. Safari and done everything else I wanted to do that I didn't get to do. Going alone to Disney would be the best trip ever!

Wow, I'm kinda surprised that I'm the first one with this answer, but I would spend most of the time taking pictures. I've been to WDW alone on a couple of occasions (and probably will be again next June). As an avid photographer, that's the best opportunity to get some great shots. You can spend an hour setting up a shot if you want and you don't have to worry about holding up the rest of the group.

Going alone is also a great opportunity to people watch and to find details that you don't generally notice because you're talking to people in your group.

Oh, where to start! Lets see...I would go to every dinner show (my husband hates them, something about the jumping around and breaking into song  ) Spend a day at the GF spa, lounge around on the beach at the Poly, the list could go on and on!

Ride every ride that i wanted to, walk as fast as i wanted to, buy anything i want to buy. lol. Nah, i'd do everything that i do with others, and i really would prefer to be with others then by myself. Disney, to me, is something to experience with another at least. By yourself can be fun a couple of times, but like i said i really would prefer another with me.

I would buy pretty much almost everything out of the store. Also, I would go on as many rides at my own pace (which is fast.) I hate it when I have to wait up for people or slow down for them.

I've actually been thinking lately about how cool it would be to go to WDW alone...

I've always wanted to go on one of the tours.

I've also always wanted to show up really early in the morning... to be one of the first in the parks... but no matter who I go with they always wanna sleep in.

It would just generally be nice to go and do what you want when you want to... without having to consult with others. Sounds selfish, I know... but it would be an awesome experience, I think.

Thanks for starting this thread, because I've been giving this some thought. I'll be in Orlando on business next month and will have all day Saturday before catching an evening flight out. I'm trying to decide what to do with my free time, from where to stay to where to go.

I'll probably grab a one day pass and go to the Disney-MGM Studios where I will be sure to see Walt Disney's One Man's Dream, the Muppets 3-D, and grab a bite at the Sci-Fi Theater. Then, after going through the Great Movie Ride and paying my respects to Clint Eastwood, John Wayne and the munchkins, I will spend the rest of the day going between Rock n RollerCoaster and Tower of Terror.

I didn't get to see the PhilHarmagic on my last trip, though. So, if there is any chance Stitch is open, I might instead make it a day at the Magic Kingdom, checking out these new attractions, and experiencing the mountains.

A complicating factor is the Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT. I did that last October and it was very good. I haven't been through the new Imagination and I might go pay final respects to the balloons at the Land, if it isn't too late, and take a gamble that Test Track won't be broken down, fly to Mars on Mission:Space, then eat my way around the World Showcase where I will be sure to walk from Mexico to Canada this time, so I can see for myself just how visible "Soarin'" is from the other side of the lake. EPCOT is a good park to experience on your own.

One thing I definitely will not do is spend my day at Animal Kingdom. (I'm glad Barnum isn't here to chide me about this). Even though I'm sure the walking trails for viewing gorillas and tigers would be enjoyable, as would the Kilimanjaro Safari ride, that park still ranks fourth out of four. When Everest opens in 2006, I'll be sure to check it out again.

Seriously doubt Stitch will be open. Another thread says any previews (Cast Member, Annual Passholders, soft opening...) won't be until November. They still got alot of work to do in the queue area.
