Then you should be hired into the college program. In 2006 a cast member I knew was termed for stealing merchandise from the parks. He was caught, fired but not prosecuted.....or so I think.

Anyway Disney rehired him less than a year later.

So....If they can rehire a known thief, then the odds that you will get accepted into the college program are pretty good.

Those cases are handled on a case-by-case basis, and I wouldn't use it as a barometer of who is or isn't accepted.

So someone is caught stealing(with proof) and fired.
They can come back?????

I can see if someone was terminated wrongfully later to find out they didnt steal but if they were in fact guilty why would Disney let them come back?

Wow that is SCARY.

I know someone who smoked backstage (inside the building) at an attraction and caused the fire alarms to go off - more then once, who was then termed, and then rehired. Way to go Union.

Im am just amazed that someone who steals can come back.

I have worked for some smaller companies and some HUGE companies and if you are fired for things like stealing, sexual harrasment, dishonesty, forgeing company documents you can NEVER EVER EVER come back no matter what.

And I was in fact a Human Resources Manager for a Large company so this boggles my mind.

I know people who have stolen from the company and been rehired, yet people who have been fired for attendance problems beyond their control, with documentation to verify this (illness, death in family, etc) and have been denied.

Disney is __________ up in more ways than one, especially in common sense.
