If the stars know that the ride needs to be fixed, then why isn't it fixed?!?!

I call it Kali Lazy River. The only other rapids ride I've been on that doesn't get you wet is at Great Adventure. But at least they have an excuse as it was one of the first rapids rides developed. Kali has no excuse. Look at Universal for a really good rapids ride.

I wonder if people get off that ride and complain that they got wet....

I have to defend the Animal Kingdom here. If you never knew about the functioning Yeti you would still think that it is a wicked ride. I know I did. I sat on the front, I was unaware of the track at the top being ripped out (scared me for just a second) and in the dark cave you see the silhouette of the Yeti ripping out the track and then you jet backwards in the dark. It has some intense moments.

Kali isn't the best water ride in the world, it falls when compared to Bluto or the one at Busch Gardens or even the one at Cedar Point. But it's a FUN ride at least I would say. A little short, but at least fun.

However, I too believe that Walt would not let this stuff happen and he wouldn't quit till his dying day (which he did) to never ever rest on your laurels. He would want it to be perfect, and then some. You never ever want Disney to forget that quality comes first over quantity.

But.................those two are still pretty good rides. Especially EE. Not many coasters immerse you that much into it

I wish more reviews were as civil as this. Around here, you'd think EE was the most disqusting abomination on God's green earth because the beloved Yeti isn't waving his arms around for that brief 1 second you fly by him.

Actually, you hit the point squarely on the nose - it's not just that he's broken, it's that they spent all that $, promotion (multiple TV specials, etc.) and the way way over done queue all in anticipation of one second that many people had their eyes closed as they flew past anyway because of the speed in that area.

That's why it is an abomination - they wasted so much money on it, they didn't have a great design to begin with, and what we ended up with has been sitting broken for half a decade. The Yeti should have been in the center, but they were afraid to look like they were ripping off Kong.

If I just want a standard coaster, with no "wow", I'll go to Six Flags. The only thing that separates E:E from a Six Flags ride is the exterior of the mountain now that the "centerpiece" is busted up. You go inside, you see steel beams - if they aren't gonna go all the way, why bother in the first place.

Just one more reason why I adore NPH. HIMYM...love it. Harold and Kumar movies.....hilarious. Amazing Broadway performances...you betcha! And a mega Disney fan...that's just the cherry on top.

King Kong at Universal was a much bigger figure and it worked well until closing day, now I know that the Disco Yeti is a different type of design, but let's not forget who designed Kong and who didn't design the Disco Yeti....anyone?
