If only we had Disney Parks commercials like this here in America...

Cute, yes. But it still follows the same blueprint as our commercials:
-Girl runs up to hug princess with absolutely NO line whatsoever.
-There is only one park in the entire resort...MK
-The park consists of only three rides...Splash, Dumbo, or Teacups. (Depending on which ad you watch)

This formula is getting old. Bring back the epic commercials of the 90's like the one Cmdr_Crimson shared. Those actually made viewers excited to go to Disney.

Anyone who has seen Tokyo DisneySea in person...can you tell me with a straight face this anime ad truely represents the epicness of TDL Resort?

I have to agree with Uncle Jesse. ;) I love the countdown!

I really wish WD pulled an Adeaters/Publivores (TV and Film Advertising showcase) and did a history screening of their theme park and company promos. These promos don't just pull at the emotional and nostalgic hearts rings, but it really does form part of their time capsule with regards to company history.

Of course it's cute Bob. If the formula is working out why not. At least it's working for some of us, making me wanna go to Disney.

What I'm trying to say is.. to each their own. I like the classic ones, but the anime really moves me.

That IS cool.
How ironic is it that Disney now has to outsource their 2D animation?
This commercial was done by Madhouse, by the way. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madhouse_(company)
Well, if they're appealing to the Japanese market, why shouldn't they use a Japanese animation studio? ;p

This is an adorable ad. Should be more like it. Although I think it's style and our style show the differences in our cultures.

On a related topic, did anyone else find it odd when all the DisneyWorld commercials a couple years back featured music from Fox's Peter Pan movie?

Yeah! Specifically, the "Flying" track from the movie soundtrack. I always thought that was the most effective, joyous background for any Disney commercial. I have the soundtrack, and will be putting it to use as background to our own Disney pictures (Ken Burns-like).

Someone should lock Bob Iger in a room with a few of the "sharp pencil boys" and play these for about 24 hours straight, and see if they get a little Disney Magic back!
