Trip Report If March was a Whirlwind-July was a Tiny Tornado!

Hello All!
We've been back from our Disneyland quick trip for a few weeks and I decided to quit being lazy and get this mini report started!

I decided on somewhat short notice that if we wanted to get a little adventuring in before Ariel, now self declared Aurora, started back to school the second week of August we needed to get a hustle on.
So on short notice, Aleisha, Elsa (still loyal), Aurora and I were headed south to Anaheim!

When-an overnighter July 28th to the 29th.
Lodging-For some reason there are many names for this place. Best Western Plus, and or Park Place Inn and Mini Suites. Boy do I miss staying on Disney property.

So follow along if you would like to hear about our merry mini adventure!

END OF DAY 1 OF 2 (REALLY!)

We left the Disneyland hotel area, it was very nice, and headed back through Downtown Disney because it looked like the shortest path back to our hotel. (Or at least it appeared to be the shortest on the map.)

As we exited the resort property into the Downtown Disney area there was this really nice grassy area that had lots of chairs and a really good band playing Elvis numbers.

There were a ton of kids running like mad people all up and down the little hills, rolling down them, etc. while their tired parents watched.
I sat on a bench while Aleisha went with them to play. But, with how open it was and it being a free for all, we divided up who to watch.
I got Aurora to keep an eye on, she's more compliant, and Aleisha kept her eye on Elsa.
(One thing I have never understood is how these kids are too tired to walk the parks but can run like loons for a half hour in a play area!)

Things were going well, kids were dancing to the music...

And then, Miss Fast as a Snake headed down the hill at I am an Olympic training 100 meter dash pace with Aleisha having to do an actual full on sprint after her as Elsa was gone!!!
Down the hill, around the stage, back around to the front until she was finally corralled!
Aurora and I just watched the whole thing in disbelief.

After that it was threats of get willingly into the stroller or get strapped in.
She choose semi willingly. As we were moving along past World of Disney etc. she kept dragging her left hand on the sidewalk near the wheels of the stroller and we kept scolding her and finally Aleisha and I looked at each other and did a risk assesment and decided the worst outcome would be a nasty abrasion and not a lost finger and we probably wouldn't have to make an ER visit if she continued.

One time when I was still practicing medicine I had a female patient complaing about how one of her kids was fine and the other a lunatic and she said her obgyn told her that's why you have two, so you know it's not your fault!! 🤣

So we hiked to the other end of Downtown Disney ( I miss that name so badly at WDW), turned in the stroller and then finished the walk back to the hotel. It didn't take long for these two to blessedly conk out, and the adults weren't far behind.
